Class of May 2014 Part 2
another try
Hi everyone can I join you all in the may class....I failed in April. Just seem to get so far then start believing I can just have a few.......always ends the same way. Trouble is i still wish j could just have a few. So sick of it all. Day 1 for me again.
Day 7 done for me. Glad to have made it through the weekend alcohol free, first in a year and half (the last time I tried to completely quit).
Glad you had a good experience Minion, let me know how thing progress for you , I have been debating AA meetings or trying one on one counseling.
Kell, sounds like you have a plan in the works, stay strong!
Anewpage, I read failure only occurs when you stop trying to succeed, keep on fighting , on to day 2 for you!
Welcome to all the newcomers.

Welcome to all the newcomers.
BTW: I'm adding the "failure only occurs when you stop trying to succeed" quote to my sober journal. That's great inspiration, thank you for sharing!
Well done a new page. 24 hours. I am wearing a favourite necklace to remind me I am sober and staying that way. No fell into the trap of thinking too far ahead today and felt down and defeated. I have forgotten how to laugh I think. Anyway I am thinking of going back to a meditation class at a local Buddhist centre.
Hi findingtheway Great job making it through the weekend! Weekends have always been tough for me but I think if we can make it through the weekend surely we can make it through a Monday! Have a great day!
I was starting to feel the urge this afternoon,
while sitting in my room. I had to get out.
I went to Wally world, and I don't even
like to go there (well maybe to check out
automotive and tools).
It Worked!
I calculated that I have saved well over
$200.00 over the past three weeks by
staying sober.

BTW: 3 weeks is a wonderful accomplishment!
Day eight here! Feeling a bit antsy but not remotely tempted by the demon booze!
As some of you may have read my dad was rushed into hospital the night before last. He is not in danger it turns out, but visiting hours clash with AA meeting times. So I will have to forgo the meetings for a couple of days at least. I've arranged to meet an AA buddy for a coffee this afternoon by way of compensation, so hopefully that will help.
Onwards!

Welcome sweetenuff I don't think you failed! I think we have a horrible disease that plays mind games and tricks you into believing you are ok to drink. I get sick of it, too. But the good news is this can be your VERY LAST DAY 1! We just need to learn how to resist the cravings, one day at a time.
Hi all. I am going to jump in here if I may. I have been struggling since Spetember and keep relapsing. Just not stringing together a solid month of late, so, going to try a fresh start.
I have 2 days today. Been a roller coaster of a month here and there then back to the wine a few nights a week, and back to trying to be sober, rinse repeat.
