It was a rough day.
Got everything together and sprung a leak.
Ended up breaking some bolts off trying to repair it.
Had to go to my work place and pick up some tools to drill and fix it.
Lost a lot of time and had to go back a few steps.
Hope to have it back together tomorrow.
We taking baths by heating water on the stove.
It's old fashion but works just fine.

Wish me luck tomorrow. I've very tired and was pretty down with all the issues we were having. If I was still drinking, I'd be smashed right now.

Good on you Bob. Just lucky you are such a handy guy . Imagine what it would cost if you got someone in to fix it . I hope it all goes well , my friend .

Then relax , put the ole feet up and take a well earned break . You deserve it xx

Bob, sorry to hear about the project troubles.
I do hope all goes well tomorrow.
It's great, isn't it, to not have that knee jerk response of drinking over, well, everything!

Yeah, sorry to hear of your frustrations Bob.

I don't feel I have much to say at the moment. Was hoping for a good day. Feeling a bit down. I guess it will pass.

Had lunch with an old work friend, which was nice. Weather is odd today. Sunny, but cold....and strangely it feels like that first warm day of Spring....which it's not - we are going into Winter. People were out having beers at lunchtime as I walked home. Not sure how I felt about it. I had some wistful thoughts. They were very brief, but I just feel like enough already, can the universe please cut me a break.

Anyway, probably stressed about the job and money situation, which will become a roof over the head situation soon, which I really don't want.

Oh well. Off to turn the pity party into some action.

Nothing wrong with the odd pity party love .

I'm sure things will turn around for you very soon Crois It's amazing how life works out . You are sober , you are happier , you are fun.

You will be ok .

Something always comes up when you least expect it . Xx

Dear Croissant,

I'm sending you lots of hugs and support. I do get your wistful feelings, but it's all an illusion, really. I'm sure your uncertainty about your work situation is playing havoc with your feelings atm. I do hope you get settled soon, for all sorts of reasons.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that a good opportunity will present itself to you.

Man, that Snoozy gal is sure giving you a hard time, eh?! What is that green thing, a gumby, gomby? I can't remember!

I've slept dreadfully, yegads! It's driving me crazy. I had planned a trip to the Royal Palace for today, but I will postpone until Wednesday now, I know I'd be too tired.

Whiled away some time watching some goofy Mr. Bean.
Here's a funny one.

Haha....I saw your Gumby one too Snoozy....I can handle it! I'm proud of my gumbiness!

Feel OK tonight. Appreciate everyone's pep up. Don't want to be a downer!

Went and joined the library. Always find the library a comforting place. Forgot that I stopped visiting very much when drinking took over.

Another thing I've noticed is I'm not watching much TV (now, now, I've probably mentioned the very few shows I DO watch, Snoozy!). Which is comforting. I didn't watch a lot of TV before I drank. I'm much happier to switch it off, read a book on my iPad, flick here and just be quiet! Anyway, just something I noticed from a lifestyle perspective.

Anyways, nighty night all!xx

Hah,
Good one,Crois.
Well just finished a hot shower.
What a wonderful thing to finish a job like that and then be able to enjoy the bennies of it.

Thanks everybody for your thoughts while I was dealing with this. It's a big upgrade for my house and should save us a lot of money come cold weather.
Isn't it funny how we want a drink when things go tough(yesterday for me). And when the job is finished and relaxing(today).
I get those thoughts, but, they're way manageable now.

Glad it's done, Bob.

Not the best timing for it, given you were already feeling out of sorts with PAWS issues.

I'm guessing you were feeling like a bit of a bear while it was going on trying to fix that thing (growly!).

Glad it's done!

Croisssssss HAHAHAHA , LOVE IT !!!!!

I just woke Shaun cos i burst out laughing . That's the first thing i saw when I came to SR
I LOVE your humour LOL .Shaun's got the cpap machine on and i still woke him lol.

The gumby AV wasn't actually for you , i was just fiddling around . What was his horses name? I think it was Poky !

Aaah how refreshing to start the day with a good chuckle , ta Crois

Bob I'm so glad you've got that all outa the way . What a job !
Our evaporative ducted air con system just shat itself and insurance wouldn't cover it cos it was too old . Bastards ! Why do we even have insurance ..we never make claims and the 2 times we have , they've rejected it ! What the bloody hell am i paying it for then .

I need to change companies but they are probably all the same - parasites grrrrrrr

How are we going today Ms Leshar .? Soaking up some more Spanish delights are we my dear :

You are gonna come home so refreshed , contented and happy with sore feet !
What's on your agenda today xxx

Keep those tootsies in good order , you need them in tip top shape for those new shoes ..woohooo xx

I think I'm gonna dye my greys , i may be a new Nanna again , but i don't need to feel old lol . Hell i may even go the whole hog and get a cut and foils . But alas , that requires motivation of which i don't seem to have at the moment .

Maybe just a bottle job will suffice ...yawn

When I've finished debating this first world problem with myself , I'll let you know !

Right ..up i get , things to do ,people to see , places to go !

Hugs xxx

Glad you got a laugh out of it, Snoozy.

Please pass on my apologies to Shaun. I will try to be good umm, yeah, probably won't last, but I'll try...hehe

Nothing much going in here. Usual job search stuff. My daily sobriety reflections...reading my finds at the library. Warding off minor panic attacks! Lol. All good. Had a good day.

Hope everyone else has too.xx
