Oh oh oh, I get to be post #501.

Oh, rats, it doesn't auto-roll, does it? hrmpf.

Very cool pic, Chris. What nice curtains the missus has up in the kitchen!

heh heh. I freaked out the first time I saw my house on Google. Holy Crap, people know when I'm home??? It took me a few minutes to figure out the pics aren't in real time.

Thanks everyone! I will have some more pics to share eventually. I am still getting used to the new equipment it is a lot of fun but also takes a lot of concentration (flight prep steps, not crashing while framing a picture/shot, constantly checking battery levels, wind gusts, avoiding trees, power lines etc.). It is well worth it though!
Since being sober I am taking up hobbies I was too hungover to do in the past. One of the many benefits of staying away from the poison!
Love to you all, Chris

I have a detached retina getting ready for surgery in 2 hours.

Sparkos 04-22-2014 01:45 PM

Best of luck Mr F.
I'll be thinking of you.

Sparkos 04-22-2014 01:46 PM

That really does look like a cool hobby, Chris.
Nice pic.

Sparkos 04-22-2014 01:47 PM

Still here and still sober.
Going to bed now. I'll post more tomorrow.
Love you all.

Detached retina. Hm. I thought that had happened to me a few months ago. I hope your surgery goes well. Really happy there is something to b done about it. I didn't even get that far in the process, as apparently what was happening to me was a part of the aging process but could have led to a detached retina. Did you have the flashing lights on the outside of your vision before it happened? That's what got me to Dr. Google and then to the eye doc. I'm still in fingers-crossed mode. Hasn't gotten worse.

Chris, I used to fly remote control planes when I was younger. I think mine was just a Cessna 180 maybe? It was a tricycle gear small plane. They are tough to fly! We finally crashed it. That was $1000 well-spent. You are much more adept, I could have never taken pictures, too.

Sparkos! *tackle-hug*

Chris, that's really neat!! I'm looking forward to seeing what all of your neighbors are up to. ;)

Sparkos! Glad you're okay!

Mr F, hope the surgery goes well...
