Not my business
I find whenever I am taken over by what seems to be a
problem, I have to ask myself these questions:
Is it really worth getting upset over?
Is it worth giving up my peace over?
Is someone else's opinion of me more
important than my own?
Why do I need to be validated?
Am I overreacting?
Is it really any of my business?
Is it worth exciting others?
How important is this really?
Is it really that bad?
Is it life changing?
Is it Life threatening?
Is it just temporary?
Is it something I can change?
Or do I need to accept it as it is?
Is the situation irreparable?
Is it really my problem?
Am I overreacting?
If something bothers me it is because I am letting it bother me.
I am trying to get better at detaching from life's little annoyances.
It's not easy.
Probably the one thing I really struggle with most is
"Is it really any of my business?"
Most of the time the things that go on around me that annoy me are really
things that are none of my business.
For ex.
What others do in the work place is not my business.
What my family (parents, siblings) are doing is none of my business.
The relationship my parents have with my siblings is none of my business.
The relationship my husband has with his friends is none of my business.
The relationship my siblings have with their children is none of my business.
What my neighbors are doing as strange as it may seem is none of my
business. lol
What my adult son is doing is none of my business.
What my friends do is none of my business.
Sometimes I make other people's business my business and it is none of
my business.
Now don't get me wrong, if I am aware of a crime being committed, I will
make it my business.
If someone else's business affects my heath, safety, finances or or my
families well being. It's my business.
But sometimes there are things that I just don't need to know. I have a lot
more peace when I mind my own business.
So what's not our business today? Is it my business to ask you what's
not your business? lol

Never thought I'd make it to day #70 again, but here I am… signing up for #71. Thanks, Deek, for having started this thread. Even though I don't "sign" in every day, I'm checking in mentally and it helps big time.
