Totally understand what you mean rochele about your hubby he has to quit for him.
So much easier for me to divorce my useless tosser lol for lack of a better word he's acting like a 16 year old lately absolutely no support whatsoever. We are not tied financially or have children of posted once he was my rock ha!! How fogged out of reality I was with drinking. He needs to grow up soon or papers be heading his way out don't need his dramas on top of everything.

^^^^No laughing from me, Tallia. That was one awful and trying day. No judgment from me, just empathy. I help care for my elderly mom, and sometimes the stress seems overwhelming.
Kaneda, glad you're feeling better.
Renarde, hope kiddo is doing better today. So scary when they get fevers that high.
Fish, I love that you're playing golf today with your sober bud. Concentrate on the golf, and I bet you'll have more fun sober than you did while drinking.
Rochele, I know it's tough that hubby is doing his own drinking thing. Like Dee said, we gotta find a reason to do this for ourselves.

I definitely was not suggesting that! I was just trying to understand what you had actually said to him and was curious about what he would do if confronted. I had no idea about any of his communication skills or various responses, etc. I hope you have a better day today.
Talia, what a crummy day and what bad timing for a gift like that! I like the song Fish quoted. (((Talia)))
Fish, that sounds like a wonderful day you have planned!
Thanks to everyone who mentioned kiddo - thank goodness the fever broke last night and isn't there today. We are still going to the ped today. What a weird virus....like 24 hrs of fever and sluggishness.

I had a good day yesterday! I was simply answering the questions you posed, not having a bad day. I exercised, got a lot done, and actually, realized my anxiety is way down. I had a wake ot go to, and did it alone and was totally cool. That would often make me anxious. It was quite a good day!
Sorry I missed that kiddo was sick again. I hope today is better.

This is the sales advertisement for the ugly Golf pants I am wearing today.

Also, make sure you boil the water for a while first!! That is important.
Obviously don't pour scalding water in your nose, but let it cool to a warm temp.
WF and other places like that have neti pots that come with good aroma therapy salts to put in it. If you don't have that, regular salt is fine.
Get well soon!! Xoxo
Hey, Fish--I do like the slacks, though. A guy like you can carry those off.
Hi, Renarde--thanks for asking. I have to be honest that I've been slip-sliding, but I'm never gonna slip slide AWAY as long as this group will have me. I would be much worse off without this place and you all. My goal is abstinence, not harm reduction. Still a work in progress, but I guess that's true for everyone, every day.
Plenny, I'm sorry you're sick. Get well soon! I have a tendency to just ride sickness out without a lot of hoopla, but when my husband gets me to try even a little something to ease the misery, I'm always grateful. I think "wow, why did I fight this so much?" Ah well. I hate going to the doctor (sorry Renarde and other healthcare workers). I just have been really screwed by the health care field in general.
So....I just got this "joke" e-mail. I'm not laughing. I'm fighting the urge to write back as to how many people are killed by drunk drivers every year.
I'm getting so militant...yet it wasn't all that long ago, I WAS drinking and driving.
