I'm ok...it's work stress. One of the little guys I work with, my special buddy who is always in trouble, is going through a difficult time. My heart is literally aching for him I think. And I'm probably coming down with a bug which is compounding things...but I will be just fine. H is cooking tonight and he's a better cook than me

Getting over a bug and it exasperates my emotions.

One of the things I'm doing to treat myself to a few concerts. I love Ferry's cover albums from the nineties and the 2000s. Its great these bands are still performing. I'm only hoping Paul Simon comes this year.

I hope you enjoyed his dinner

Hi Shock...yeah dinner was good. It always is when someone else cooks it as I'm the worst cook in the world..lol.

Sorry you're getting over a bug, me too. But music is a great healer and good for the soul isn't it? I have to wait until everyone goes out here as the tv is on permanently when they're in, I'm trying to ban it, but getting a bit of resistance lol. As soon as the door shuts behind them...the tv is off and music on. And I love Paul Simon...

Keep well

You have good taste in music, Jeni.

Part of my recovery is learning to take care of myself emotionally, and music is a good outlet for me. I didn't realize how much I missed concerts when the last one before DM had been nearly 15+ years ago.

I consider it part of my self care

Hey Mayans, I just wanted to pop in to say hello. Still sober here and doing well. Very grateful for all I have going on in my life. I hope everyone here is doing well too

Oh shock if Paul Simon came to town I'd be beside myself. Especially if he brought the percussionists from rhythm of the saints! Oh the banging my steering wheel has endured from my air drumming...

Hope everyone is feeling better. Take care, Mayans!

Lovely to hear from you OLL. Good to know you're doing well. We've some real success stories from this thread haven't we?

I'm off for the week this week, having a real sort out and spring clean. Yesterday I filled about 10 black sacks full of rubbish. Amongst the junk I found some real treasures including something my daughter had written to me when she was about 4. It gave me a lump in my throat I tell you. I will try and upload it.

H and I are going away for a few days this weekend, we've just booked a little B&B on the coast. Life is more than a little up and down for us at the moment.

Love to you all. Miss you xxx

I hope things are less up and down, and more up for you ASAP. The weekend away sounds very nice!

I've got a special box of treasures that I will keep forever, that's right on top that one. Honestly, I never appreciated what I'd got when I was drinking...all those years putting myself and my needs first...what a waste.

And now, she's 18 and all grown-up. How did that happen?xx

Dee....it's not fair to laugh at those of us who are technically challenged. I was definitely born in the wrong decade, or the wrong century even...

Hope you are well and still managing the elusive balance thing we talk about but rarely achieve. Take care

Miss you guys. Both my March and May thread seem to have pretty much disbanded. I feel homeless....

The Monthly threads have ebbs and flows Jeni - it's always been this way - people do move on, some stay and move to new groups...it's not a personal reflection on you

hey jeni, march 2013 is pretty fun if you want to stop in, they are very cool to visitors and anyone who wants to join in. I started posting there when feb. 2013 slowed down, and have stuck around.

I do love to see the mayans on the first page of the daily threads, though!!

have a lovely evening everyone.
