Made it through day 5 (now 9:00 pm here) and it was easy until I was just about to finish work. Last Thursday I drank and the weekend is approaching. My memories of last week are diminishing (as per usual). God, tomorrow is going to be hard, as will Saturday. If I can just make it through.
It is 5:40 am Mountain time here in southeast Arizona. It is a beautiful morning with a star-filled sky. We live in a rural area so the stars are especially brilliant here and it is great to be able to appreciate the sky every sober morning. Cascabel is here and signing on for another 24 hours of sobriety.

well after 7 months my cloud 9 is gone and I start feeling lots of emotions. my drunk voice is loud but now my sober voice is getting stronger and at least for now is able to say NO.
that's one good reason to keep coming here and pledge for another 24 hrs. of sobriety and drug free day.
