Hello Everyone! You found us It is the weekend. We made it! Hope everyone stuck to their commitment
over the last 24 hours.
It's the start of a new 24, please join us and sign in with your local time and commit to
staying clean and sober for the next 24 hours.
Please post one time daily on this thread, this is mainly a sign up sheet that will make

NOISE!
You ever notice how we keep busy, busy, and we have the radio on, or the TV on, or
we are working, or cleaning, or talking on the phone.
We are driving from one place to the next.
I don't know about you but I know now that the reason I keep so busy, busy, busy is
cuz I don't want to hear that small voice inside that is trying to get my attention.
Just like the alcohol and drugs it can keep me from dealing with problems,it distracts me
from having to think, and makes it easier for me to avoid my own reality.
Drowning out the thoughts and emotions I find uncomfortable or overwhelming just
complicates my life more, the problems just linger, and they tend to pile up.
When I tune out the noise and just sit in silence that is when I am gonna hear my consciense,
that still small voice.
That is the space I will find out what I am hiding and what I am hiding from.
It is only then that my self examination can begin and I can begin to stare down frightening
issues. It is when I will see the truth.
From there I can begin change.
Today let's turn down the noise and get to know ourselves.

I almost hit 1 month.
But I caved in to people I love. I drank a bottle of wine. I've got big issues to solve. No support from my alcoholic wife.
Yet, by god, I will prevail over the next 24 hours!!!!!

I screwed up today. A guy I have got pills from before came into my work. He told me he had some pills. I told him that I wasn't messing with them anymore and that I haven't been drinking either. Later he came back and just gave me a Vicodin 
I took it. So I'd like to try for 24 please.

I was very tempted yesterday as well. Was at a fundraiser/ band party and husband gave me his ice cold beer to hold while he went to the restroom (not Mr. Supportive). AV said "just take a few sips" but then I remembered this thread and my 82 days and somehow I held on. So thank you Deeker and the entire 24 hour club! Another 24 please
