good morning 9:28 here in Canada.. Love the winter wonderland scenes deeker! I love that time of year when everything looks magical. So sorry that some had slip ups. It's the hardest thing you'll ever do so just coming back here is fantastic! hugs to you all. I kept getting slipped up in the "if you can't beat 'em..join 'em" philosophy/revolving door and it simply is not true. I wish you all 24 peaceful hours of sober, and I'll take the same for myself.

over the last 24 hours.

Sometimes SR is not enough. Have an open mind and try something else in addition to SR.

NOISE!
You ever notice how we keep busy, busy, and we have the radio on, or the TV on, or
we are working, or cleaning, or talking on the phone.
We are driving from one place to the next.
I don't know about you but I know now that the reason I keep so busy, busy, busy is
cuz I don't want to hear that small voice inside that is trying to get my attention.
Just like the alcohol and drugs it can keep me from dealing with problems,it distracts me
from having to think, and makes it easier for me to avoid my own reality.
Drowning out the thoughts and emotions I find uncomfortable or overwhelming just
complicates my life more, the problems just linger, and they tend to pile up.
When I tune out the noise and just sit in silence that is when I am gonna hear my consciense,
that still small voice.
That is the space I will find out what I am hiding and what I am hiding from.
It is only then that my self examination can begin and I can begin to stare down frightening
issues. It is when I will see the truth.
From there I can begin change.
Today let's turn down the noise and get to know ourselves.

good morning to everybody is 7:30 in Coquitlam BC and for the past few days is being so beautiful cold, crispy autumn mornings with fog and a full moon that I enjoy looking at, and that's why today I'm grateful for my sobriety.

oh my, did the roll over a couple times this morning
finally got moving when my neighbor invited me for coffee about an hour ago
walked 18 holes yesterday...had been using a cart for about a month as a sore back healed...I am still tired
note to self, getting older, easy does it
