Class of September 2013 part 9
That sounds yummy, Plenny! Can you share your ecipe. Pm is fine. You are a chef right?
I had spaghetti squash with meatballs, sauce and parmesean cheese. I often sub squashes for the pasta but dress it up much the same way otherwise. Everyone else has the pasta.
So, still craving, but better since having dinner. I am very full.

Rochele I'll send you the recipe. I love sharing recipes I'm not secretive about them at all
Yes I'm a professional cook I used to work in restaurants but got sick of the line, and the booze and the drugs, and I now mainly use those skills as an assistant to a food stylist. It's great to still work with food but without those extra pressures and drama. I'm not finding the industry to be particularly boozy so it's great. I was a bartender for years before this.

Day 11 for me! I'm feeling good but had a stressful day at work and came home to a grumpy husband. Had some cravings but pushed through. SR helps so much in ways you don't even realize, for example when I was thinking about drinking today I realized I was hungry and I thought back to the posts talking about hunger and thirst. Anyway, I told myself I would think about drinking AFTER dinner. After dinner I was stuffed and the Last thing I wanted was beer! It worked! Apparently we just have to be clever ourselves with the AV! well I know I don't post a lot but I read all your posts and it's helping me so much. A big thanks to all of you for your honesty and sharing your journey! Big hugs!

Sometimes I say to myself, "I'm a guy and I cannot relate to women's posts on here". "I don't think I fit it here". Then I remember why I'm here. I remind myself it's not a popularity contest. I need to come here each and everyday whether I post or not to remind myself that I will not make 60 at the rate I was going. If maybe one day out of the week I'll be able to give someone some good advice and certainly receive some, I should be elated.
Excessive alcohol consumption is the third leading cause of preventable death...what else can one say?
I hope I didn't **** anyone off or take anything out of context, but I'm just stating the truth. And the truth will set you free.
Let's keep it alive Septembrites and remember why we are here. And I wish nothing but the best for those who find another way out of this war with alcohol.

The male perspective is just as important. And I suspect the stuff we post is read by quite a few lurkers. Alcoholism doesn't discriminate - it attacks everyone.
So...we are in this war together. I'm glad you have our backs.
