If you slipped and are back to day 1 again, just shake it off. Try
to figure out what you may need to do different. Sometimes a little
additional support is necessary like AA, NA or counseling. Let me
know if you need any online resources for any of those I mentioned.
This 24 hours started at 10 pm EST 9/29. Roster will be posted at 10 pm EST 9/30 USA Monday. Google Eastern Standard Time USA
to see how your local time translates.
Peace Of Mind
I can choose it today. In any and all situations. We all can!
It really all comes down to whether we want to sacrifice our peace for a cause .
Even the pettiest things .
Ask Yourself?
How important is it really? Is this a life or death situation ??
I mean do I really need to involve myself?
Do I really have to be right or have the last word?
Is it worth losing my peace over ??
Is my opinion or input really all that important to what is going on here ??
What am I gonna lose if I just stand back and let things just pan out ??
What will I gain if I say my piece or have my way ??
Am I really just getting involved to stroke my own ego, to be one up on someone else ??
Will getting involved make a difference in a situation??
What if I truly have no control over what people do or what is happening? .
Do I have any real power over other people or their attitudes and choices??
The answer is NO!
I have learned today I don't have to give up my peace for anything or anyone. I
can just let it go.
Today I learned I don't have to save or fix anybody though I wish I could save some
people from active addiction cuz I know how painful it is and it is painful to watch.
I can share my experience strength and hope and that I care what happens beyond
that is out of my control.
Today I just have to worry about my little ole self. And most days that is job enough.

9:23 EST. And on the seventh day, I didn't get wasted. Its been many, many, many years since I've been sober on a sunday, let alone a football sunday. Words can not express my gratitude to all on this thread.
Deeker, your pics & videos, aside from being motivational, are fantastic!
do-me-do-u. I'm anxious to get another 24 under my belt.
