Hi all, not long got in, its my eldest daughters 5th birthday today and I went straight to see her after work, lovely to see her happy opening presents etc, taking them both to the zoo on Saturday hope weathers ok. It's gonna happen in sobriety. But the good thing to know is that feelings do pass. Feelings are not always fact either. Sometimes we can blow things out of proportion in our minds and our addiction wants us to do that. Keep that in mind. I kinda liken this addiction to a little devil and it will use anything to get me to trip up and use again. Any excuse it can get. Don't believe the lies. Whatever you are going through today is only going to get better if you hang tough and go through the feelings. Talk to someone here at SR and work through those feelings and don't give into them. They are going to be raw in early sobriety and that is totally normal as we were used to anesthetizing them in the past but it does get better! Nothing lasts forever!
