Yep, two months no caffeine today. (Well, I'll be completely honest, I've been drinking decaf coffee the last month, and it's not 100% caffeine free, but darn near close.)
And I'm just a week shy of 4 months no weed.

I can do without alcohol, I never smoked weed, but I am a caffeine addict to the core.
Congrats again DG on all your milestones, doing all at the same time takes some concentration I am sure.
Not much shaking here. Getting to be the coldest day of the season so far, temps are dropping rapidly. Olive and I are snug inside, we walked and got outdoor things done while it was warmer this AM. Maybe even some flurries later.

I actually get the best of both worlds with the snow. Where I actually live, it rarely snows and generally disappears in a couple hours if it does. But I can drive 100 miles and be at a couple of different ski slopes in the mountains, enjoy the day and drive home where it's nice and dry. Hmm, perhaps I better stop talking now. I sense this might not be making anyone feel any better.

I won't regale you guys with the weather report here lately--but the trade winds are back, and that makes for some spectacular sleeping weather. =)
I feel like I haven't gotten a decent nights sleep since we got here, as after a couple hours under just a sheet, I feel like an inferno. Small price to pay, I suppose.
Have gotten some photos from home--showing the dustings of snow, and some good looking Fall weather. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it. There is something about those snappy Fall/Early Winter mornings that always made me feel really alive. Electric somehow. Plus--I do like the subdued colors and sounds of the prairie. Things here are SO colorful, and SO up in your face sometimes, it's a bit of overload. But--again--I've nary a complaint regarding our weather/surroundings, I just wish I could get some milk for under 8 dollars. =)
Congrats on your milestones, DG. As always, you are proving tougher than I. I've recently just given up on giving up chewing tobacco. It's a bear, I'll tell you...and instead of stepping DOWN the nicotine amount in this e-cig thing, I was just ramping it up, and then running around puffing on that thing constantly. Got to the point I was changing out a battery for a fresh one, and just keeping that cycle going.
Someday I'll get this portion of my ill-habits dealt with...it's just not going to be any time soon. I guess...can take the cowboy off the ranch...can't take the ranch outta the cowboy? I dunno. Stupid habit picked up early...and seemingly going to be the last one to die as it holds on for dear life.
I'm just thankful I never equated chewing with drinking, or vice versa--cause I honestly haven't thought about alcohol for a long time. Really long time, actually. It does give me hope that if I just quit the tobacco wholly, ride out the storm like I did with booze, I'll be just done with it...but...a battle for another day.

HI my sober monthmates. I did my step 5 yesterday. I went to meet my sponsor thinking he will give me some advice on how to finish up my step 4. He went through what I had so far. When I asked him when we should meet for step 5; he said, "you just did it, buddy!" So onto the 6th step. I will read up in the big book, 12and12 and the 12 step website I am using and hopefully my sober life will continue to get better.
And thanks for this website. I do not think I will be plugged into the program if it weren't for this!

I am still here, busy time for me. I have several Christmas and other holiday singing gigs so I am looking at music and trying to be familiar with it all. Going to my sister's for Thanksgiving, so I will probably not post much (like that is anything new lately) next week.
