New thread. Headed by Threads. Very apt though I say so myself.
Marcher hope you're doing ok by the way. Sass I was chiding you all lovingly for the inactivity here.
We have standards to uphold you know

Natty, I have been bustin my arse over in the cafe, trying to give you guys a nice holiday in Indonesia. And you know, I think everyone's been asleep on the damn boat. I will try to find your livestock somewhere on the islands. Do you need a nurse as well? At least you DID get to an AA meeting, with a little help from a friend.
I have to do my part to help keep March 2013 one of the longest posting class threads in SR history.
Hope you are feeling better Marcher!
Hi Joy and Ken and Sassy and Toots and Naaaaaaaatty. That was meant to sound like a sheep calling him. Good one Ken!
I got nothing. Oh lots of stories but I'm to pooped to type. #2 son went to rehab. Hope he finds what he needs.
I got to go join the Indo vacation now.

Ok guys if we are needing to yip more, I can yip for Britain, can't I Natty!!
A catch up from past members, bepresents pregnancy is going along fine, bump is growing beautifully. She camped in her garden with her wee girl and they had a lovely time
Mick is doing well still working in the home, still having incontinence problems, but thanfully with the residents, not personally.
Daisy is doing away fine, was last heard very sober and in a new relationship and very happy.
Spotted Mesoso on another thread the other day, so she is still going fine,
FBL, and jimuk AofS and Pamel are still struggling on the July thread. Soberjim is doing ok, sounding really positive and posting regularly, panache is doing away just fine.
At the start of March 2013, a lot of folk recognised they had a drinking problem and found SR, specifically this thread. A good few found their way to a sober road and after needing less and less support here, and feeling like they wanted more of a 'normal life' began to put SR away. That shouldn't be frowned on. SR has achieved it's aim with those friends and they have soberly made way for others in greater need, on newer threads, I see the new August one today.
Others have fallen time and again and moved further down the months for more support. Others have found threads better suited to their needs or personalities. Again, we should not be offended, as in life, just because people share one common goal, does not mean they have anything else in common, and that one goal may not be enough to maintain any kind of relationship.
We have face challenges, both as individuals and as a group, and the bond between those of us still here, grows stronger. Whatever happens to me in my future, I will never forget the months I have spent here, baring my soul and hearing you all baring yours. We have laughed, cried, advised, told off, been told off, cheered, shared bananas and fireworks, and grown. We have grown and matured in our sobriety, learning to be the responsible adults which alcoholism denied us. With responsibilities, came acknowledgment of past actions, guilt has had to be recognised and assimilated into our lives. We have learned we cannot alter the past, but Learn from it, change bad ways, become nicer people and where possible make amends.
We are living sober lives now, united in our desire to maintain that sobriety above all else
We have discovered an inner core, a strength a sheer bloody mindedness that has stopped us reaching for that glass, walking into that bar, taking that step
We are Marchers we March forward along our road of recovery towards true sobriety. I am proud to be a Marcher, proud to March with you all at my side, and grateful that meeting, knowing, loving your guys has kept me sober. And totally insane!
Now I'm off to make sure my cabana boys aren't slacking! Hre I come Joy!

Toots that's lovely, thank you.
But yes I am doing well. This does not mean to say that just because I'm not here regularly I'm not thinking of you - I do, all my pals. Especially our dearest Trachemys, wherever he is I hope he's good, my little terrapin twin. Xxx

Good morning! Good to see you Panache and Babs!
I'm not too good with saying goodbyes. I've had a lifetime of feeling deserted in one way or the other. But I do understand everything Toots said and agree. For now, anyway, I still need this thread, and this site. I'm not there yet. So I'm grateful to any of you who remain here, even if just to pop in randomly. March on!

That's funny...
Babs and Joygirl,
I think that you both should be able to figure out how to put up avatars since that is explained step by step here on SR on the profile page someplace... if I can do it, you two certainly can.
I, however, do not know how to post pictures here. Of course, I haven't tried yet, so I am not looking forward to hosting in the cafe any time soon.
Plus, being so busy, I haven't taken the time to work on it.
Right, now, I should be getting dressed for work, but just had to check in here, and once again, my inner child is stomping her foot, mad at the world, because she missed another chance to shout "shotgun!".
Later, Marchers... I need to go to work.
