Could I Be In Denial
Today I have to ask myself some questions to break through denial.
Can I stop at one drink/drug?.
Have I made plans to do something but once I picked up a drink/drug
I was unable to follow through?...
What have I done in the past that I would never had done if I was
sober/clean for my drugs/alcohol?..
Did I steal?
Did I lie?
Did I say things I regret?
Did I plan my day around drinking/drugging?
Did I ever lose a job or promotion due to my drinking/drugging?
Did I ever lose a friend because of my drinking?
Did I have blackouts, mornings I woke up with no memory of the
night before or just bits and pieces?
Did I get in my vehicle and drive intoxicated/high?
Did I have legal troubles?
Did I suffer injuries due to drinking/drugging?
Did my drinking/drugging bring me to the point of wanting to commit suicide?
Yah I would say a resounding yes to all those questions and a lot more
I think these are a few good reasons why I shouldn't drink or drug today. How about you?

Got some bad news today, moved into apt and lost job. Anticipating God's next move. Keep me in your prayers! Still grateful! So grateful for you all! Still Clean and Sober! There will Never be a good enough excuse to give up my sobriety in the light of where it has taken me in the past.

Deek, as Ricky said, good will come of it and you are in our prayers. You are such a gift to so many of us here so I know a whole lot of love and good stuff is coming at you no matter how things look now. You know the whole "God never closes a door without opening a window" routine
