Take care Dee
Off to bed here, had a bit of a feeling sort for myself moment before as everyone I know is 'out', but right now being around drunk people would probably end in disaster.
Looking forward to waking up sober, into double figures tomorrow

Impromptu block get together tonight. Normally I would have had several glasses of wine to feel comfortable. Too many, and then not remembered the evening and the next day wondered who I had to apologize to. Instead, I brought a bottle of wine for the hostess (SIN Summer in Nap) and asked for water to drink myself. Incredibly, I had a really fun time sober, laughing and really relaxing with everyone, not trying to impress; just basking in the comraderie, feeling I belonged and very importantly, recalling all of the wonderful conversation. It's been a long time since I've done this. I like this new found sobriety. It's a good feeling. I will remember it.
If I can do this, we all can. Blessings to all who are struggling.

On the cusp?
Hi all,
I've been meaning to / wanting to join June class, but still drinking in a month long relapse. However, I'm at that point (as many times before) where I keep trying for a full day 1 - and more, but haven't made it past 1.5 days (Thurs / Fri).
Still on the sauce today, Sunday. But I'm always on that cusp.....of trying to stick with not just quitting but staying quit. (Like, again).
Anyway, just wanted to say that you guys - and all the monthly 'class' groups - are a great inspiration. I hope and pray that I'll summon up the gumption soon in July (it's the 30th June already here in Aus), and join my first ever SR 'class'.
You all rock! And sound like a bunch of hoots :-)

Hey Vic, nice to see you posting
Morning, morning just gone 7am here. Officially 2 weeks. I feel like I should feel great but my old pattern seems to be following itself... I'm fed up now, I haven't achieved miracles overnight (I know, I know), have put on more weight, losing my posting mojo... HAVE to break through this. Haha it doesn't help that DD woke me up in the middle of my only great dream for the last 2 weeks... What a grumpy cow I am this morning! I'm sorry folks.
Tea, that's what I need. Lots of.
I'll be back happier in a bit... have got my washing on though, first time that's happened pre 7am probably ever!

Right, cuppa done let's start that again...
Morning Sun is shining, the birds are singing, looks like it's going to be a super sunny sober Sunday!
Off to my Mums for a roast dinner later. Looking forward to that. Hmmm diet will start tomorrow then...

Welcome Bemyself - we're all here to support you. I know I've done the 'I'll stop now' and do it for a few days - usually until people have stopped being mad at me and then I'd start again. And it can be hard work to stop but it can be done, if you haven't gone to an AA meeting or read the big book that is a great place to recognise that you can do this.
Leshar - hang in there! You can do this.
Ippochick - YOU ROCK!!! So proud of you for getting through last night; you are amazing.
Now - who's turn is it to make the bacon sarnies? I'm starving here!!!

Question ; what do we do on Monday? Do we stay as the class of June or move into the July class? I'd assume we'd stay here - which would be useful as I haven't sharpened my pencils or bought a new school skirt ;-)

We stay here LB41 but we get moved to the daily support forum (? can't remember what it's called!) And the July peeps will be on the main forum. I clearly kept relapsing just because I wanted to stay on the main forum... *ahem* NOT THIS TIME!!
Thanks MTN and you have to stay with us - you do know that, right? You're part of the cool kids gang!! :-)
