Nel! I'm so sorry about the flooding. I hope it can be resolved as quickly and in expensively as possible.
Babs good luck. I always think posting here in advance is great preparation to remain sober. Fortunately I have SR on my phone at all times. Maybe you could buy a new piece of jewelry in celebration of your sobriety and wear it as a reminder. Think about what nonalcoholic options you can order ahead of time. Play the tape through the drink to the hangover, guilt, etc. Know that's its never just one drink.
Ttbabp great and thoughtful advice to babs. I agree.
Gilmer yay spring!

Thanks OLL. Really though I could attribute the advice I gave to many thoughtful people here on SR that have halped me with advise of the past many months. As they say what comes around goes around - good advise included.

Wow Nel - those pictures are something - that's a little scary.

Hi Undies. I have been glued to the news, ugh. I have tomorrow off and we are taking a day trip 3 hours away to see my new niece. It should be a good day. Today is day 25, I am thankful for sobriety.

Nel hope the flooding gets fixed soon!

I'm having some cravings this evening. So annoying. I know I won't drink tonight and hope the cravings go away tomorrow since its payday. Sometimes I just get jealous when I hear my co workers talking about going out for a drink after work ect.

Hi undies!

Nels, that's a lot of water. What a mess! Do you have some help with clean up?

WWG, congratulations on 25 days and staying sober during all this stress. I hope they catch whoever's responsible soon!

Babs -- I feel your pain over casino night. I had to go to a social thing when I had about 50 days, and everyone was drinking, and the worst thing was they all just wanted to keep going on & on -- I couldn't leave until everyone else left, and the jokes got dumber, the stories lamer, as everybody got drunker, and nobody seemed to notice but me!

Sorry about the cravings, Boozefree -- do you know about HALT? Eating when I'm craving usually helps me.

Grace, Soberjim, HD, TTBABP, MidnightBlue, Gilmer (see, I'm learning some names) and everyone -- thanks for making this thread so lively! See y'all tomorrow.

10.20 Friday

Good morning Friday F'Undies

I've got a really busy Friday, you know the usual manic Friday stuff, so I've not got time to post but I'll catch up with you all some time this evening.

Lots of love , stay safe and sober

Gxx

******

JUST FOR TODAY, I will do something positive to improve my health. If I'm a smoker, I'll quit. If I am overweight, I will eat healthfully - if only just for today. And not only that, I will get off the couch and take a brisk walk, even if it's only around the block.

Morning class it looks pretty dry outside this morning. Thanks Courage, my husband is down sucking up more water but its much better just going to take awhile to dry things out and clean...I'm up and ready to go garage selling I hope there is some out. A town about 20 miles away is suppose to have a town wide sale....I hope everyone has a great Friday, I will check in later....Boozefree, I agree with Dee think of all the good sober feelings and how much healthier are bodies are without putting poison in them.

oh courage if that isn't the truth. I know by mid-night they will all think they are younger then what they are. Oh lord, and the jokes----but, you know what? at one time I thought I was pretty funny too. They are good people ---just having fun in the moment.

Good Morning friends, driving to Maine to see my new niece with my family. Scary day around here as Boston and the surrounding area has been turned into a war zone.

WWG have fun in Maine!

Nel enjoy the shopping

Thanks everyone for the good advice. I have been reminding myself of why I got sober in the first place. I was tired too yesterday and so I went to bed around 8:30. I just need to get thru today and then have a 3 day weekend to do homework, clean house, and relax. One co worker just left for Vegas so everyone all week has been talking about drinking ect and I'm so tired of hearing about it! So grateful that I have all of you to come to who can relate.
