Lots of Chococolate in my house at the moment. Enjoyed church this morning ....which is why you beat me here Grace

I am having a lovely quiet AND SOBER easter. (another first for me), the kids had a lot more trouble finding the strategically hidden easter eggs this year he he he.

I need to go for a run some time today (when I stop eating chocolate).

I hope the easter bunny us generous for you all.

Time for a nap....

Easter Sunday and no chocolate for me....I'm at work and I'm freezing....I have been here since 6.00am and we have had no power since yesterday lunchtime....My portakabin is like an icebox...I also have to work an extra hour as they haven't got anyone to come on site till 20.00 so it's another long cold day for me...I hope everyone else is having more fun than me...Take care...Steve.

Hi August class

First chance I've had to post here today. Hope you've all had a good day.

You'll soon run that chocolate off Jodie, glad you enjoyed today, Easter is all the better for being sober. This time last year I was a right mess, don't want to go there again.

LLG, An Easter vigil sounds magical. Hope you get a good sleep. Take care. xxxx

Ooh Steve, that doesn't sound like fun, wish I could bring you some warm soup and a good strong brew of yorkshire tea.

Going to bed now, so goodnight

Gxxxx

Hi all

I hope you've all had a good day, back to work tomorrow for me, 8.a.m but at least the mornings are light now and it's light for longer in the evenings, it's good to come out of work and it's still light.
I've had a very low key Easter break and that's just fine. This time last year I was in a really bad place.

Jodie, I haven't eaten any chocolate at all over Easter, but only because I'm not a big chocolate fan.

See you all tomorrow, or should I say I'll see the few of you that post!

Stay safe and sober

Gxx

Hello August friends,

No chocolate for me either although Sweetie had plenty!! Usually Easter is an excuse to buy double and eat half!!

Last Easter I was 16 days sober, which ended May 29 in a big old "eff it" moment that lasted until August 20.

Tonight my other sweetie, the big one, brought home chinese takeout ~ nice surprise. I told him to bring me a present and he brought a bottle of Perrier water. I read somewhere in a buddhist description of relationship that one of the duties of the man is to bring gifts to the woman. I feel it quite necessary that we incorporate this custom into our lifestyle.

We 3 saw "The Croods" recently which was very cute and had a good message.

It was spring here for about a minute today and now getting chillier again.

Night all! *Hugs*

Tuesday morning 04.00 and I've still got 3 hours left at work out of a 15 hour shift....I'm so tired and I'm so looking forward to my bed.... Yesterday was a very busy day and also up until 22.00 as we had people hanging around after the football game.... Also noticed a lot of drunk people around and it made me feel good that I don't drink anymore....Any how's I got work to do and I'll catch you all later....Take care..... Steve..

Good morning my dwindling class of August.

I hope everyone is well and Apple if you are hovering around in the background, please post.
I am in work right now and I didn't have the best start to the day, I actually overslept and had 15 minutes to get washed, dressed and out!! Not good. Thankfully I'd got my work clothes out ready last night and had my lunch etc made!
Then to add insult to injury it has been snowing during the night, only a light dusting, but even so! This is British summertime! Great!

Hi Stairs, this time last year I was in a very bad way, it pains me to think about it, I was that bad! It was twelve months to the very day yesterday, 01 April, that I did one of the most embarrassing, humiliating things I've ever done, I'm still struggling with it. I was dreading yesterday coming for days!! Even then though, I carried on until August!!
I'm relieved that yesterday has gone and today I am sober, in fact I'm more than relieved, I'm ecstatic!
I really like that Buddhist theory of the man bringing home gifts for his woman, I could easily live with that!

Steve, I hope you are tucked up warm in bed now, that's a loooong night. It's such an eye opener now watching drunken people, so glad I'm no longer one of them!

Well anyway, best go and do a bit.

See you all later

Stay safe and sober

Gxxx

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. If anyone knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I donít want to do-just for exercise. I will not show that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it

I'm still here too....5 hours into a 15 hour night shift and I'm really not feeling so good...I have been craving beer for the last few days and I have been overcome with a huge bout of depression which ain't helping matters....My patience is non existant and I have had a couple of altercations with management the last two days....I really don't know what is wrong...I just feel like saying fcuk it all and pressing that self destruct button,I have had people tell me to snap out of it and get a grip but I don't want to.The wife and kids are away but I'm not missing them as much as I usually do...When I get home after work I don't want to do anything,I just quickly walk the dog then go to bed, then I wake up and go back to work.....I thought being at work all the time would keep me on the straight and narrow but it seems like its having the opposite effect...I'm due for a day off on Friday and I'm dreading it because my AV is already telling me to go and get smashed.....I really don't know what is wrong with me.....Steve.

Hi all

My husband only needs to bring me ONE gift A NEW CAR !!!!!!!!! Aggghhhhhh

Driving home from work and the axle falls off ..... how lucky it was in a back street travelling at 40km with no kids... pedestrians or oncoming traffic .... aghhhhhh ... anyways
grateful it didn't happen last weekend when I travelled about 1000km on main roads an in Sydney traffic ..... extremely grateful.

So car less again .... lucky I have support from people to get to my kids everywhere and I now know I live exactly 1.11km from my work ... how do I know ... Runkeeper told me this morning as I thoroughly enjoyed my walk to work .... the kids enjoying the bus to school

Looking forward to looking forward to car hunting ... not looking forward to dealing with banks

Steve hang in there ... the urges will pass.

Hope everyone is well.

Keep posting.

Cheers

Jodie
