Class of August 2012 Part 9
Jodie, Grace, Bruce, Steve, Babs, stairs, clearmyhead, johny and everyone who's just not active on here at the moment, we're doing this. You too LLG
The way I think, the way I approach things and my rule or belief systems are 180 degrees turned around from where they were a year ago and as long as right now I'm sober, I'm starting to trust that things work out whatever happens, just rarely in ways I think they will.
Time to dig in for when being sober isn't special or a novelty or a fight any more maybe next year, maybe the year after, each minute of every day.
So congratulations and hugs and love to everyone in my August 2012 team. We really are amazing ! Xxx
And dee, thank you.
362 days or 99.2 per cent of the year done here and counting ...

Good morning classmates, what a lovely surprise to see a few more of you here 12 months down the line. We've all come a long way this last 12 months and may we continue to grow in our recovery and find peace and harmony in our sobriety.
I think you're right Dee, we'll be sticking around for a while yet.
Good to see you posting Apple and I second every word you say in your post.
Hello Stairs, good to see you too.
My love to you all, I hope you are all well and continue to pop in now and again just to say hello.

JUST FOR TODAY, I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and fill it with sunshine.

Congratulations Apple.
I am really enjoying a more relaxed life at the moment , even tho it is hectic..
Trying to get back into exercise ... but also making sure I get rest.
I have a few trips away for work and kids sports ... I am looking forward to all of them.
Some of them will be experienced for the second time sober Just a tad more relaxed this year.
Glad to see some more of you have popped in to say hello.
Take care.

Dear August 2012 Class, and especially Grace, Apple, Jodi, Stairs, and Steve:
A HUGE congratulations to you all! I am so happy for you and so much in awe of what you have accomplished. You deserve to be proud, and I am proud of you!
I'm sorry I didn't make the year's journey with you all, but I'm about to get back in the saddle. Can't decide whether to join the August 2013 class or the September class. I'm thinking it might be easier to wait for Sept and get to know folks as they come on board.
Never, never, never give up. Never, never, never give in. If I've learned anything this year, that would be it.
Bless you, Dee, for being such a great support for everyone. I'll see you in a few days.
Love to you all,
Nuway

Nuway, welcome back with open arms, I'm so very, very happy to see you back. Draw a line under what happened, learn from it and move on that's what I say. Why don't you come over and join Steve and myself in the twelve months and under thread, you'll get lots of support there and they are a really good bunch of people ranging from day one to day 365 plus.

Hi everyone,
My home group celebrated my one year anniversary last Friday with me. There was cake, balloons, gifts, cards.
That was the up side. The down side was, I had to tell my story to a group of about 35 people. I was very nervous but they tell me I did fine. Even though my lip kept sticking to my gum. lol.
The fact that I could do it at all, that I even have a year of freedom from alcohol and all drugs to talk about, is amazing!
I'm so thankful for them and for all of you here on SR. I'm honored to share the ride with you guys and gals.
Thanks and welcome back to Nuway!
Love,
"stairs"

Hi all
Just thought I'd pop in on my travels across the board. All is well here, my other half has hurt his back and has spent two nights on the floor, but he's improved today and will be fine. My Father's Dementia is taking it's toll, bless him and I still have the g. chids as usual.
Lovely to see you again Stairs, a year down the line! You're sounding good and you did well to tell your story, more power to you. xxx
See you all again very soon, I hope

Hi, clearmyhead. This thread is the only active one, and until you posted, had been quiet for several months. You probably know quite a few of the Undies--the one year and under group. Some have stuck with the Undies even though they have over a year sober. They are a friendly and welcoming bunch, so I bet if you post there, you will feel at home very soon.

It's been a while. I'm still hanging in there.
I have this messed up neck which keeps me pretty darn miserable and the docs really don't won't to do squat for us recovering types. Oh well.
Hope everyone is ok.
Hang in there. All the best,
Bruce
