On day one of stopping i had just finished a book on alcohol and the crux of it was to admit to yourself that drink had won, and to surrender, to admit that you could never win the uneven fight, and rather than fight take drink as an option out of the equation. i believe that this is the same as Dees take drink of the table. I realise that I will have to be vigilant for ever more and never be of my guard, but that realisation that i no longer have to fight this, has literally turned my life around.

The thing about a simple thing like take the drink off the table is - if I analyse and explain it it stops being simple LOL.
It means what it says really - we have to stop thinking of drink as a viable option. Full stop.
as for the Daddy thing - I realise you guys are joking and thats fine - but you guys don't need a Daddy - this is your thread guys - it's meant for you guys to get together and talk and solve things...I just contribute where I can
I'd just hate newcomers to get the wrong idea about these threads or me
