Woke up and before my feet hit the floor I was thinking recovery thoughts.

Have patience for a needy cat.

Fought off cravings Oh yesssss - hopefully they'll naff off for another week or so. I'm determined to get through the 'month' barrier on Tuesday. The past two times I've been here, I've collapsed at the final hurdle.
Xx

I woke up at 7 am and brought my two beautiful daughters out to breakfast! That quality time felt so much better than telling them to be quiet so I could sleep off a night of drinking.

bought groceries/paper/plastic without worrying if I had enough left for cigarettes and a bottle.

Celebrating 7 months alcohol free. That certainly never would have happened, lol.

I'm drinking coffee... and didn't drink coffee at the end of my drinking as my hangovers became worse, or rather, I actually just kept waking up drunk and I never enjoyed coffee in the morning drunk or super hungover.

I was out doing some shopping at Walmart at 630 in the morning. Picking up chips, soda and stuff like that for football. Usually I'd be going to bed around that time drunk and there would be no way that soda would be in that cart. Lol.

Well, it's Sunday morning...
I got up and started doing stuff that wasn't on any deadline, just "wanted" to get moving

Went to be early because I wasn't staying up late to drink. As a result, I'm up early and heading to church with my daughter. Nice to be building new habits.

Paid some money on a debt instead of ignoring it and using the money for a bottle.

I also didn't connive about it either, nor stress out.

Wrote two chapters of a book. Rearranged the spare bedroom and went food shopping without even noticing the alcohol aisle.

Woke up early. Meditated. Ate breakfast. Took a long walk. Straightened up. Met with and hired a dogwalker. Checked on my father. Got my med filled. Got extra keys made. Got dinner. Went thrift shopping. Grocery shopped. Put out trash. Walked dog. Gave dog his meds and prescription food. Watched the news. Opened mail. Did laundry. Matched socks.

Instead of.... being unable to get out of bed due to a hangover migraine. Skipping all meals. Having no dog food to give dog and running out of meds. Losing keys. Having no socks and underwear that are clean so just buying more. Having trash piled up. Piling mail up for weeks. Starting to drink at 11 am.....
