Deserto, sorry you were feeling down toningt. I can understand the disappointment, but try not to be too hard on yourself. So you F'ed up... You came back and that's the most important thing. You are a much needed participant in this class. I also think its high time for you to get your thesaurus out and get back to word slinging. I think it helped you early on and I know it helped the rest of us. No one has the verbal power keep up with our friend FP but you. Please, if your up for it, let the smack down's begin!

HRB, you are spot on...Yea! How I've missed those poetic duels! They were the highlight of my day :rotfxko

Jeni, you will manage that visit just fine. You are a very strong woman!

AFM, I was going to drive for a couple of hours to go to a seminar today but have decided that it's more important for me to take the day and do relaxing, self-care kinds of things like meditation. I need to seriously deal with my anxiety and therefore lack of good sleep and therefore risks of slipping. I may be here a little less as I work seriously on these issues but you'll see me lurking and I'll try to post every day. I at least need my daily dose of this terrific group!

I'm at a nightclub right now. Before we were at a party in the dorms and it was crazy. There was a beer bong going around. I didn't drink, didnt feel like drinking. I'm now at the club and this is the first time I've left the dance floor. I'm calling tonight "spend the night dancing instead of doing cardio tomorrow" it's good to socialise and have fun. I'm glad not to be drinking and I don't feel tempted. Tonight Im in a good mood. Or it could just be the 3 red bulls talking.

Enjoying this while I can because tomorrow it's back to studying.

Hey, Thursday! My elephant tail is twitching with worry... should it? I am missing your posts/PM's/Thank You tags to let us know that you're okay and still with us. Where have you gone, girlfriend? Hugs to you.

I'm home. Tomorrow I promise to come in and actually communicate with everyone.

I had a funny "pick up line" tonight

I was sitting on a couch drinking a glass of water and this really drunk guy and his mate came up to me. The Really drunk guy said "see my mate here" gesturing to the extra drunk friend half passed out on the couch
Me: yes?
Him: "he was in the Olympics"
(his friend starts drooling into a cup)
Me: really? Shouldn't he still be there?
( drunk guy realises his extra drunk friend is very drunk and tries to get him to pep up)
Cue my exit.

Warden Mammoth hears flea bag howlin', but keeps denyin' him probation.
Maximum security cages where ain't no one hears you shout.
Lifers call it Roach Motel, 'cuz pooches check in, but they don't check out.

Only bombs you be droppin' need a hefty pooper scoopin'.
Why you makin' "Pfft" sounds, Dawg? You eatin' beans? You cut the cheese?
Pull on Mammoth's paw and you'll be twistin' in my breeze.

Dawg be beggin' for his steak, but only gettin' garbage scraps

You just be squattin' in your yard, ain't no Dawgs allowed in clubs.
Most action you get goin' out is peeing on your shrubs.
Only "rat-a-tat-tat" you hear is squeezin' rounds from my real .357 gat.
Mutt's yelpin' scared out to the road, will my Lambo squash him flat?

Dawg be gettin' tired 'cuz his "fake" verse keeps repeatin' in a loop.
See people scrapin' off their shoes after steppin' in your poop.
Your rhymes be sufferin' from desert heat with your "verbal napalm."
So pucker up and kiss my Mammoth butt with herbal lip balm.

You think I got some junker hoopdie like a pimped out Yugo, West Side G?
You just jealous 'cuz this East Coast Gangsta knows you take the bus, even on my Day 43.

(Mammoth hands the mic respectfully to the club owner, unlike the rude and irresponsible Dawg. Crowd gives a standing ovation. Pach gets paid well.)
Guess who's back? Back again?
Dweller-Phant. Tell a friend.

Yeah I got your letters
pining for days that were better.
Bored of rhymes chained in fetters
longing' for the old rhythm setter.

So yo, Dawg's back, here on Day 86
(I borrowed some accounting tricks
to ensure my slips and nips
will stay snipped and clipped).

And yeah, I dropped that tuba-ing b****

Call it Day Three?
It don't matter to me
on this journey toward sobriety
whatever number you see
will add up to me being free.

So pull out those buds
stop spinning those elephant duds.
Those pathetic pachyderm discs
will make you feel rolled like Rick.

So FP, pick up that empty can of Raid
your verse is getting frayed
And no matter how much you've brayed
It's Dawg the Lithuanians paid.

'Cause you know I'm the big draw
And I ain't pulling no Mammoth paw
I'm back to lay down the law
Hear all the May boaters hurrah.

So pick up your trunk, F Punk --
This Dawg is no longer drunk.
Your Yugo is still junk.
And now your solo ride's skunked

We're back with the Dweller-Phant sound.
This pup's been sprung from the pound.

Hey Folks,
Much as some of you might be surprised, I totally screwed up . 3 days ago I decided, yet again, that I could have a beer here and there...i could drink normally.

I made it one day.

Yesterday watching the Olympics I got completely drunk. Today I have not done much better.

I am not sure for my slip, but I do know it seems impossibly hard for me to commit to being 100% SOBER. But I do realize that it really is the only way for me...I CANNOT drink in moderation. I don't know why I cannot learn this lesson, but I am just not learning it......

So tomorrow I will start again. I have a buzz right now and am not even enjoying it.

I will not discount my 100 plus days of consecutive sobriety, but for me I just simply have to start over. That is the way my brain works......

Soooo, sooooo, soooooo, sorry to disappoint everyone. i know many see me as such a pillar of strength. Apparently not so. =(

So my last new day drinking is August 11, 2012. First completely sober day is August 12, 2-12. It is amazing how fast I went down in just three days......yikes.
Love you all....
Lee

Oh Lee, I am so sorry. I was feeling that fake AV too telling me I could have a drink only a few days ago. Luckily I was posting and online and my May mates got me back to thinking clearly. The beast is a great liar and will use anything it can to get us to drink again. I think when you get to 3 months, it is always "You have done so well, you must be able to control it now and just have one when you go out".

There is no disappointment my friend. We are all in this together and are all struggling in one way or another. Thanks for posting because it really helps to reinforce our commitment to never drink again and see the moderation lie for what it is.

Please don't be too hard on yourself. Stay with us and post if you start thinking this way again, maybe we can help you through it.

Welcome back Lee.
Don't best yourself up too much...that will only feed the cycle.

No need to feel you let anyone down. We all understand.

Many many of us have fallen for that lie Lee.
It's a remarkable hardy one.

It's classic alcoholic logic - 'my life is awesome...one beer will make it awesome +1'

nope.

The next time you hear it...fight it...come here....we will do out best to talk you out of it

(((Lee))). Huge hugs of love to you, classmate! Thank you so much for posting. I am sorry that you're having a rough time right now. We've all slipped and relapsed at some point. Main thing is to get back in the sober wagon with us. Excellent that you're already seat-belted in.

Maybe additional support would help this time? AA, RR, AVRT, a therapist, or...? Please continue to post/PM with us on SR. Just the posting alone has saved me so many times from picking up again. It is very easy to become complacent, especially when going it alone without support. Something about reaching the 90-ish days goal is affecting all of us who have been/had been hanging in there so far.

Drink plenty of water, get a good rest, and we'll look forward to seeing your posts again when you're feeling better tomorrow. Much love to you, May mate.

I have been out of the loop a bit. Still sober.
Deserto I dont even know if I've posted since your slip but I am so glad you're back. Your rap made me nostalgic! We knew you had it in you! Again so happy you're back.
Lee I am so sorry for your slip. I definitely see this three month trend goin on and I'm going to try to learn from all of you that I should not test the waters I the thought arises. So don't feel like you've disappointed anyone. Feel like you have helped others see the upcoming road warnings.
Ginger and anyone struggling too, all of the above goes out to you. This boat has a seat for everyone through the beautiful sails and the turbulent waves.
Everyone else is in my thoughts and hope to catch up more soon. I have been reading, just unable to post more right now.
