Morning!

Prayers to all in the storm's way. Stay dry, stay safe.

Nice 4 miles run in the warm, steady rain. It was dark when we started, light when we finished. We stuck to loops in the park.

Now to my desk, and a full day!

Okay...phase I officially over. Busy day with two appts. One ran over, and I ended up buying a client lunch at the Big Boy. Not SBD friendly. Oh well, no known dinero from either appt, but it could end up being an okay day if they buy.

Lots going on later. Dog training, and getting ready for my folks Labor Day weekend visit. Wife got the carpets professionally done. Puts my DIY work to shame. I'm a stubborn DIY kinda guy, and it's my downfall. Jack of all trades, master of none. Better put that one on the list, huh?

Have a good'n all!

I'm sorry about your husband's job, frances. It's always scary..I hope he finds something he likes really soon.

No big news on Rox, thanks. Just on pills to make her tummy feel better. Time will tell.

Feel better Roxs!

Well done on Phase I lofty.

The tricky part is putting full stream on to find a great new job while preserving some time to take a break and kick back a little.

We have to sort out buying health insurance and his unemployment benefits. In the U.S., since medical insurance is private, we have the option to continue the coverage he got through his job, but at our own cost. It is likely to be....guessing 600/month? Glad to have the option, glad to have the savings to pay for it.

He has a meeting Thursday afternoon with a GREAT company he'd jump at the chance to work at. Dovetailing to my interests, it's an international company that is a leader in green business. Their headquarters is built to the highest LEED green building standards. It was for tomorrow but rescheduled to Thursday. Fingers crossed, this or something better.

OK, cleaning up desk and signing off. Mwah and hoping the weather treat all easy.

You can often do better (i.e., more cost effective) with individual coverage over the COBRA coverage, especially now. This is part of what I do for a living. If you want more info, pm me, Frances.

Up early to get stuff done and go riding. Hopefully 15-20 will be easier with a few carbs in my belly.

Hoping Dave's got power and all is okay.

Mirage is uncharacteristically quiet...check in, and don't let the turkeys get you down!

Have a good ride Lofty. You are biking outside? Hope you are well-lit and reflective.

Mirage.....how are you? Youoooooo hoooo.

Aw Aussie, I'm sorry you are hurting! It's the worst when you can't get comfortable. Hope today is better. Glad the weather is beautiful.

Up for the gym. Fill dark in the western sky but the eastern sky is brightening.

March it!

Eating poorly today. I don't think fritos and french onion dip are on any phase of the SBD. Holding at 230. Rode 18.5 miles this a.m.

This is about both health, and getting rid of the belly. 2 goals in one. But, I need to have both achieved for me to consider either successful. Getting rid of belly flab = #1 goal. (He says on a belly full of fritos) YIKES!!!!

Fitness health happens on the bike. Weight fitness happens in the kitchen.

We're all in this together, says the woman with tortilla chips & chocolate in her belly for lunch!

I RESOLVE to eat healthfully and respectfully the rest of the day!

Scattershot two thoughts:

1. I applied for a job! A friend works for the company and is going to shepherd my application. It was posted yesterday. I am unreasonably excited about it.

2. A dear friend has been in the hospital this week and today he's home recuperating. He's fineHis wife and I don't see eye to eye so I have been respectfully distant for many years. She called me and said, "He'd really like to talk to you," I took that as a gift from her. I was so happy to talk to him and reconnect. It's healed a little hole in my heart.

Little things, my friends, and big things. All part of the song.
