Class of February 2012 Part 4
Johnny- I don't think I've mentioned it- it definitely could be. This does feel different from the depression induced fatigue I've felt in the past; my brain feels a lot foggier. But of course, getting off alcohol has to have an effect on my brain too.
Love that Easter smilie!

Just winding down after a fairly busy day, including some minor socializing with a neighbor. Feeling really good. Been helping my mother get ready for an upcoming trip and I have to give her and I a pat on the back. We were both on the ball and in top form. Plus, I know how to make my Mom laugh. (even made her pee once!!!) Needless to say, we were laughing today.
But of coarse there's a dark side...to both of us.
Hey Olympia...how's the weekend going?
EQ..."ROADTRIP!"...that's awesome! Hope your having a blast
Kam...What's the count up to now? I've been thinking of ewe and the lambs!
Onthemend, LP, BoozeFree, faustina, Wildcat...and everyone else, hope your having a great weekend!

Happy Sunday/Passover/Easter/Spring/Everything to Everybody!
Congrats on all the solid blocks of sobriety folks are racking up! If I get through today (which I believe I can), I'll have 49 days- seven straight weeks! I believe this will be the longest I've gone in eleven years. I'm pretty grateful for that.

Sorry i havent been around for a while
things have been ok apart from the fact am not going to AA meeting because of my social anxiety and am hardly leaving the house because of it
I am holding steady apart from the fact its Easter and Easter is a bad time for myself due to abuse ...i haven't drank through it though
or taken drugs because of it ... I have been taken Valium as its prescribed nothing more than that
i hope everyone else is doing well

Hey all. Am a bad Febber and still haven't had time to catch up on everyone's posts but hope you've all had a good Easter weekend. Up to 38 lambs - 2 didn't make it over the weekend which is sad but just one of those things I guess. The newbies are very cute! Am especially fond of one we're calling Midge who was born absolutely tiny. Was looking like he wasn't going to make it but he's a wee fighter and now he's not even needing tube fed (he's really strong too and kicks like mad when you pick him up!) My sister's been through for the weekend which has been lovely but crazy. Am hoping this week will be a bit more chilled but we've still got a good 30 ewes to go so maybe not (ps. JD - that was a terrible sheep joke ewe made! :-)). Promise will stop clogging up the board with sheep posts soon! Lol am actually too busy to think about drinking!
kam- Busy is good.
I've been finding particular satisfaction in cooking, baking, gardening, and the like. I love starting off my day with chicken chores. There's something so gratifying in food production and just creating stuff in general. (A friend of mine is in love with crocheting- she's looking into selling some of her stuff). I think the human race is geared toward this kind of stuff- I wonder if I haven't been looking for gratification in alcohol in lieu of not doing enough creating.

Hey everyone,
Got my mother off for her trip...everything went smooth. Can't help but think how much of a help I'd have been if I was still drinking. Not much of one to be sure. Argumentative at the very least. Boorish and crude most likely.
Anyway, hope everyone's hanging in. Congrates Olympia, 7 weeks is no small task and it looks good on you. Nice to see you again Lotus.
Got to wrap this up, my daughter's giving me the stinky eye!!! lol
Take care all...
