Class of January 2012 Part 3
Happy birthday katrinka!!! 7
I like cats, and purple is my favorite color. The avatar is from the Brown Bear book - I used to read it to my son when he was little. So I guess you can say that it is a combination of all three.

Happy Birthday Katrinka! (Mine's next week, looking forward to this being the best year of my life, btw!)
Hope everyone's doing well, sounds like quite a few in our group are going strong!!
I feel lately (34 days in) like my brain fog is slowly lifting, and for the most part I have been very happy and optimistic
I have been a bit emotional lately, however, especially in the morning when I find tears flowing as I sip my morning coffee. Strangely, this does not concern me. It kind of feels like I am letting go of pent up feelings, a little at a time. I suppose this is a good thing. Oh well, not much more to report, so off to bed.
Hope everyone enjoys a good sober weekend!

Day 6. Woke up tired which is frustrating because I have been sleeping a lot lately. If I don't feel better soon I'll go get some labs done. I'm going home for my sister's birthday. I'm surprisingly not anxious right now about it. My family can be so puritanical, but I found myself even able to make jokes about it last night with my hubby like "I bet they are scrambling to remove all the booze from the house before the drunk comes home."
I don't think it's really like that, sobriety has helped me see things more clearly. I can appreciate their support now. Thanks to everyone on SR, I know I'm never alone in my struggles.
Happy Sober Saturday!

Dazee,
I am tired every morning too. But, I also suffer from insomnia. My body seems to need about 10 1/2 hours in bed to feel anywhere near normal (because I wake up so much). Just resting can help. I am hoping that this dissipates with time. Be wary of frustration and lack of sleep. It has proven to be my downfall. I am trying to just accept it. It is surprising because I exercise about two hours every day on the treadmill. Just part of early recovery!
