I'm on board. The first New Year's midnight ball drop I remember in 10 years. Felt great being sober. Quit date 12-30-2011. Having lots of issues with spouse already pulling away due to my new sobriety. I;m not as much fun if I'm not slurring my words or depending on him to pour me another drink. However, I'm going to do this. I want to remember every night of 2012. I've lost so many night over the last 10 years. I am praying this site is where I was meant to find the strength to stop.
i also have a staff, he 8 years old and also me best mate and he seems to know some thing is not right

The first time I came here was Jan 2009 by way of an ultimatum from my wife. I went 10 months without drinking and after the ultimatum was dropped I moderated successfully for a couple of years but in the last few months I have been going to the bars too frequently again so it is once again time to draw in the reigns and give total sobriety another run.
Hope we can all do this together.
Posting and reading at SR daily was the most important thing that I did to succeed.
Good luck class and happy New Year.

Day 25
I never rolled over from a month to a month. December seems to be closed. Do we just keep posting now?

Ending day 1. Sick to my stomach all day and sweaty. I will use today as a reminder of what drinking leads too next time I think about getting wasted. Grateful to be able to post here on SR. It's only a little after 7 and I'm beyond tired going to try and get some sleep. Have to make this time stick. I don't know how many more chances at sobriety I will get.
