Thanks Dee. I am glad to see the threads adding up. The familiar names and stories mean a whøle lot to me. . It is gorgeous here today. No white Christmas for us. Very unusual for this area. We had 4 months of snow on the ground last winter. Really hard on the wildlife. This year is different. That and a few other things. lushly loves ya.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you, and Happy Hanukah!

I have been checking in about once a week, but not posting.

Three weeks ago, I lost my mother, and you all know that it is difficult.

I hoped that 2011 would be better than 2010, but it wasn't.

Now I just hope 2012 is better than 2011.

I'm starting to wonder if we want a happier life, we should be more aggressive, and take more risks in today's world. Any opinions?

I'm sorry for your loss lovingit. I really hope 2012 is your year too...starting today of course

I'm not sure we need to be more aggressive - I certainly needed to be more proactive tho, and make some definite changes in my life.

lovingit, Sorry to hear of your loss, a difficult time for which I have no words.

While I doubt you'll be surprised, I'm willing to bet we're all hoping the coming year will be a better one in myriad of different ways.
Personally, I fail to see how it couldn't be.

And Happy Holidays to you as well!

Hey all, alive and swell at my girlfriends house. Busy with blending family of two dogs and two adults (well maybe i'm at least 1/2 adult now and growing). I've had crazy drinking dreams last few nights might be the holidaze spirits? :-) or 7 month itch? But hey, dreams are dreams, it's all good. Love you all.

PS. Thanks Dee for all you do for us, or for me, can't speak for others :-) It's a Dee(d) well done my brother.

I am wishing you all a blessed Holiday season. It is the first one I have entered sober in like...... maybe..... since 1985 when I was pregnant with my youngest. Wow that was a long time ago. A sober christmas eve? Hu? I don't know. I hold no expectations, just hope to come through with my sobriety in tact and a new apperciation for it. I want every one to know that each of you are a gift to me.
lovingit I hold you in comfort at this time. Don't lose faith my friend. I think of you often and I am always glad when I see a post from you.
Dee thank you for keeping us MINERs rolling along on the forum

Thanks Lushly, I do keep it first. I wake up at seven, hit a meeting or go to group, then go work twelve hours. Actually today, I graduated to the last step of my outpatient, one which has no time liimit. we got peeps in there that have been in this group for seven years. It is a requirement to be involved in AA to be in this group. It's focus is relationship development and early childhood issues, right up my alley. In our first session, the therapist was all ready focusing on some key points with me, I think it's going to be a groundbreaking experience, finally allowing me to finish becoming the person I was meant to be before all the abuse and use started thirty years ago. Got a meeting on Christmas morning, then 1500 dinners. Hoo boy gonna be a fun day. I never forget you guys though, you have been with me from day one, and I wouldn't be where I'm at without you, Merry Christmas, I love you all.

Have a happy holidays everyone and to you dee for always being there. So grateful for SR and for the good things that have emerged for me since getting sober. Peace of mind is truly a wonderful thing, as is valuing your relationships and learning the meaning of connection again. It's what it's all about.

Lovingit so sorry for your loss.

Lots of love and light x
Sober Christmas rocks!!!
