Class Of March 2011 pt 6
Day 11 coming to an end. Long day. Breakfast meeting with a great group of guys, then work related meetings the rest of the day. What I've noticed this week is that I have a lot more composure about my work deals. Less anxiety, more laissez-faire in my attitude and approach. I guess I accept that I'll do my best and what will happen will happen. But, I REALLY need the money. I think my new attitude is mostly good. Why worry about things I can't control at this point anyway?
Mirage...glad you have good coverage! Take advantage of it! Insurance is one of the things I sell, and that's why we have it...to use when we need it.
Hope all are well on this quiet night. I think I'll step on the back deck and read a chapter in the remaining natural light.

Apologies, I was exaggerating about being frozen. It is not actually freezing. That would be zero degrees (32F) whereas it is one degree (34F). We usually get one or two days like this each winter but this is over a week already.
I have the coolest new Weeble and am going to make it a weekend photography project...watch this avatar!

Good morning, Marchers! On to day 12. The fog is slowly lifting, and I'm feeling a peace I haven't had in a very long time...even before starting to post on SR. Could it be that I am starting to see life become more manageable?
I went back and read a few posts from my "sobriety hiatus", including the top 3 reasons you each listed for quitting. It's hard to believe that most of you are coming up on 6 months soon! I'm proud to be a Marcher, despite my previous setbacks.
Prayers for each of you!

Good Day all.
Lofty I twitched a little when you said Natural Light. Glad it was the big ball in the sky light and not the other. I am happy for you. It sounds as if you are finding some peace.
Toi- Choose your projections wisely on your photo shoot.
Frances, mirage, Dee and everyone else.....you know who you are...
Peace is a party for the soul!

Hello Marchers Every One--
(Once a Marcher, Always a Marcher, even if you also become another Month-er)
Yes, will be six months for me Aug 1.
Truth time: I am doing more and praying more and running more and eating clean and all those good things but I still feel low inside and negatively stuck about the same dammed family problems in my life. I have an appt a week from today with my wonderful doctor to talk about anti-d drugs. I am endlessly positive and productive on the outside, but I don't feel it on the inside.
I feel positive (there's that optimism again!) that this could be an important additional support for me to get to a daily experience of Peace and Contentment.

(((innards))) Those are hugs for your insides, frances. You're doing so great.. and good for you for seeing your doctor to see if there's anything else you can do. You're taking good care of yourself, and you deserve that, and all the happiness that goes along with it. I hope the doc can suggest something to help you complete this positive growth. :ghug3
TOI....I am waiting.....oh yea...its sleepy time over there isn't it. I cant wait to see your new sig.
Speaking of avitars, I love Aussie's. There is just something about pandas.

Mirage your avi makes me smile. It is a daily reminder.
peace love and happiness to you all or should I say live long and prosper!

Although I haven't done the days straight I have also clocked up more than 6 months of this year sober .If anyone would have told me I could do this last year I would not have believed it.
Day 50

Ok...this is a new one for me. My daughter is a freshman cheerleader for both football and basketball. Her entire squad is here for a cookout. I coldnt get near a cheerleader in high school, as I was a band geek. Now that I must be a dirty old man I fear I better find another blog! Just kidding...I am keeping my eyes on the road!
Since I'm changing my life, I figured I'd get in the Avitar game and change my picture. I got this today in an email. A catfish tried to eat a basketball, and it got stuck in its mouth! Not to worry, the rest of the series of photos is the photographers rescue of the ugly creature. They had to pop the ball to remove it!
