Happy Sunday.

Hope all the Decembers are enjoying their weekend. Dee also, of course!

Yesterday's theme at the AA meeting was living in the moment; good theme, and I am more aware of my own tendencies to look back or look forward in life and you know what, it really doesn't do the moment justice to live that way!

My hope for the Decembers is that we all can savour each moment, each hour, each day sober and remember the hell it was to *want* that peace but not attain it through alcohol. Peace comes with sobriety. Relief from torture. That is my choice today! Hope it's yours too.

Yay, Soph! Thanks for the sage words. Happy 4th, all! What do you think of the name "Sage" for a baby girl?

That would be really pretty! Did I miss the part where you said you were having a girl, or is that new?

Hi, all.

Wow, what a great, long weekend. My first sober July 4 weekend since... not even sure how long. And one worth remembering. Good to know it won't just recede into a pool of fuzzy, virtually indistinguishable memories of July 4ths past.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Whoever said "today is the first day of the rest of your life" was right. Every day that we awaken is a fresh new canvas and we hold the paintbrush!

MJ I knew a girl named Sage back in elementary school and she was a cool customer! I liked her and I liked the house she lived in. I actually remember bits and pieces of sleeping over once there. This was in the 70's. So yes I like that name for a girl! :-)

Hope everyone has a great week!

I feel ya, R&A. Had a great night last night, even when the cravings hit. I decided to do something good for myself instead - painting and reading. VC, BF - still around? Miss you guys.

It's good that you keep picking yourself up and trying again. I hope after you take this test you'll feel less overwhelmed. Good luck, but I'm sure you'll do fine on it

Now... where's VC? I've got my lasso out, roundin' up Decemberites. Yeehaw!

Great clip, GFCO. Funny to see a young, shirtless Clint Eastwood at the end. Last night I watched his most recent directorial offering, "Hereafter". He sure has come a long way.

Hope the test went well, BF. Like Soph said, every day is a new canvas.

All's well here. Hectic re-entry into the work week today, but I made an effort to be actively aware of stressful moments, take a breath, and relax. I'm hoping to paint a simple but serene picture on my canvas.

I had a great holiday, found myself talking to people I wanted to, as talking to boring or stressful people was impossible sober. We are visiting family for a week in Colorado...it is so beautiful here I am just stunned every day. Big thunderstorm this afternoon was heaven. I am happy and thankful to be sober and healthy. Thinking of you all!

Hi everyone.

I think I had a relapse dream last night or the night before, it was really odd and I only remembered it this morning while getting ready for work. Strange.
