NOW...she wants to work on our relationship. Aint happening though. I dont trust her. I'm working on me. PLUS and I know I'll take some heat for this, but there might be someone else. Known her forever, we were just never single at the same time. She knows my situation and is very supportive. BUT I've stressed we need to move VERY slowly, I wont risk my sobriety for anyone. Plus she lives two hours away. So thats good for moving slow.I dunno what I'm doing half the time though. Just taking it all in, one day at a time. People have welcomed me back to AA with open arms and with a few well placed jokes at my expense, I love them for it. My sponsor is moving me slow. I need that right now. I know once we do a third step, four and five will come quickly after. This isnt so much a whine as a confessional for me tonight. I can write about whats going on and have people understand where I'm at. I'm forty and really sober, not dry, for the first time in 6 years. I'm relatively happy. God has me where he needs me right now.

One of my delightful dogs (no doubt encouraged by the other one) got the unrinsed cat meat container out of the sink and took it onto my bed. All that was left in it was blood which went onto my white duvet and down my bedroom wall. I have told them that since they obviously don't appreciate my (our!) bed, I will be giving them to the neighbour who makes their dog sleep outside. They are now hiding very quietly under a blanket on the armchair.

Todays whine - FLIES, Ugh. Hate, hate, hate them. They are revolting & keep trying to land on patients wounds whilst I am doing dressings. Is like advert for Developing World field hospital. And YES I do have spray, strips & the windows closed. Theres slurry being spread on nearby fields & thats whats brought them in.

Newby, I'm with you on Trump (showing his true jerk colours) and most things here...but I will be among those up at 4 am to watch The Royal Wedding. I watched Charles', I watched Andrew's, all very early my time, and I will watch this one too. Maybe it's the "Queeny" in me, but I love pomp and pageantry.
