If there's ice, Bam is going nowhere. I learned my lesson. No more head ouchies. Next time I might not be so lucky.

And no, I won't wear a helmet. Or spikes on my shoes.

I'll just stay home and work can stuff it.

Tired tonight. Feed the dogs and let them out then bedtime for me. I desperately hope dk can get a ride home from work at midnight so she won't call me and wake me up out of a sound sleep...

I admit it...I read some of the F&F post sometimes...and wow are there some sobering threads there now.

I don't live in fear, but reading those stories is a glimpse into a nightmare--may I never be complacent and slip--not sure if I'd ever make it back. That could have been me. If I don't stay sober it will be me. *shudder*

Anywho, enough with the serious stuff. The Weather Channel blows. Who do they think they are hyping up this crap? I hope we get rain and 70 degree F weather! Not likely, but geez. I bet they can't wait until hurricane season fires up for the US.

Sammy could be a client on Jerseylicious....he is such a prima donna....he looks and feels great...they have a special blowdryer that whips out the dead undercoat.

i will do him myself in the kitchen sink (wash him with WEN and clairol blonde shampoo), but it is too cold and i don't blowdry a dog....if i took him out to air-dry he would get sick...the salon works for cold weather and no hiar in the house.

tomorrow night they predict the week's annoying weather to start...I'm sure I will slap Al and Stephanie stupid velevet dress in the morning...that woman needs a breast reduction and a mouth suture.

Well, dk did call me after midnight for a ride home...but I wasn't mad, was glad to wake up out of that bad dream I was having. Being chased and tormented by bad guys in a cavern-like building, couldn't run away, like is so many dreams, could only run in slow motion. So I was happy to be woken up out of that one!

Bam, I too read F and F forums and it solidifies my desire to stay sober so as not to ever put my family thru that awful crap.

Sorry Ann - I have a Canadian I'd like to give back!!! He's not native Canadian. English, but lived in Canada for more than 20 years. He has his green card now, that's what he wanted all along! Go me! If I had been sober I'd have been clear enough to see who he was! Anyway, he can go back to his first wife any time! 'Cept she won't have him back. He has a real problem keeping his ting ting in his underroos!

Welcome, pattenat.

I hope I'm laughing this much when I'm at work. Why oh why do I have the feeling I won't?

Close enough

Welcome Patt.

I was prepared to save Bubba a small fortune at sales today, read all the flyers yesterday and had my shopping sneakers all ready!!! The bridge off the island (which is being rebuilt) is having construction "issues" today and it's not looking good for an escape. Queeny is not amused

shop tomorrow Ann, exercise today....and diet.....(just smack me)

still faking it until I make it....I walked the dog this AM and exercised. Did a short circuit of 11 mins of push-ups, abs, treadmill and rebounder....kept both my knees and HR up and broke a sweat....so far i have managed 2 days but aside from *feeling* better i see no instant improvement....

i'm going to pack a healthy lunch too....salad and a tuna envelope with lemon and 2 tsps. of salad dressing, rice vinegar.....like i said, i gotta start somewhere.

i've had more false starts with exercise than i've had with sober days it seems.

the reality is i'm tired of feeling heavy and crappy....real exercise makes me feel better and greatly improves my mood....even the short, laughable 11 mins. i did today.

Fandy - I did 0 minutes, unless you count walking up & down the grocery store aisles.

It's getting serious now - went out to lunch & used the ladies room - when I went to zip jeans back up - I couldn't! (No bed to lie down on is why.) Had to just snap them & pull sweater down real low.

Patt - that was a good one to start things off with - hope you feel better for whining it out. Sorry you're going through that, though.

Monday - Monday. Can't trust that day.

Hev,

Love your pic symbolism of what's going on in Egypt. What a world.

The snow piles here are so high I've had to put my former "white" trash bags aside and use colored bags (ie black) so they don't get lost in the massive snow piles.

Waaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

Lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa snow on the way in the next couple days.

I'm done

Hi pattenat, welcome to Whiners Anon....and also to SR

no whines here yet but I'm sure that "this too shall soon pass."

Inivis....Your "Monday, Monday" post has inspired a whine-ku.

it's Monday Monday
I don't have a whine today
there's nothing to say

(ps. I love that song too. )

HB - Thanks. I didn't think demonstration pics would be appropriate.

cmc - How are your eyes? Not still hurting, I hope.

Invisigoth - "California Dreamin'" would be fitting right now too. All the leaves are brown.
