Hi class! Just checking in after my little mountain retreat - still sober and happy about it.
Glad to see you're all still going strong and we've made it to PART 2! Congratulations all.
Feeling fairly strong about my sobriety at the moment, but this can change any minute, so I am staying close to you strong guys!

Good morning.
Time to introduce myself, i have been lurking around this site for almost a month. I have been sober since nov 13. During the last month I have been slowly admitting to myself that I am an alcoholic. When I quit I told myself I was taking a break from drinking for many small reasons but I know now that I can never drink again. I'ts been years since I wanted a drink, I always want the hole bottle. And more.
I would love to join this class, you guys are great company.
Have a good day everyone!

Hello Class and hello Giraffe!
I did the SR lurking thing first for several weeks and then took that step to post. I don't think you'll regret it!
Today is day 22 for me.
Class teacher hasn't given much work so I'm starting on New Years Resolutions....
Keep strong everyone!
Rosco.
Life=Fun; Alcohol=Devastation.

Once you start thinking like that Sd, you're already half way to the next drink.
All of us here understand. We've been there. No let downs here.
You're already something else than you where before you joined us - you got what? 30 days or so?
That's an achievement Sd. You can do this.
You just have to work out what you need to add this time to make it stick.
I thought I would always be a drunk too - it wasn't a bad guess considering I drank for 20 years. But I was wrong.
You can be wrong too - if you want to be...

SD,
Count this bump in the road as a learning experience and put it behind you. You've come a long ways to let this get you down. If nothing else, you've helped motivate me to keep me going. Keep posting, and update us. We are all behind you 100%!

SDS,
Glad you are back and posting so soon after your very brief relapse. It is not at all about how many days...but a way of life moving forward. By one year's end all we will be counting is ANNUAL anniversaries anyway. We will need a really big cake for this November group each year, and there will always be a piece for you.
We are all here for you, and some of us will fall in the future, and we will need your support as we get back on track. Let's do this thing for life...just one day at a time...
Man hug...

SD, my man, you haven't let anyone here down. You have been a source of inspiration and motivation to a lot of people in this class...me included. Thanks for posting so quickly and being honest. Just a bump in the road on this journey that does indeed last a lifetime. I hope that you aren't throwing in the towel....like Dee said, try to figure out what you need to do differently this time around. Good luck SD, please don't go away, keep posting and let us know what's going on. Hang in there!

Hello class - I have been skipping class a lot recently, but still sober - day 29. Looking forward to the magical 30 days!!! And beyond!!
Looks like everyone is doing great (that includes you SD-didn't you have 30 before the minor slip).
Coop - I'll be joining you on the 90 day thread soon - Wednesday to be exact.
In my 35+ years of drinking, I have only quit drinking for 2 extended periods of time - Jan "09" for 34 days , and now - looking for sober months and years!
Thanks everyone - Jack

It's good to see you posting Jackstone. Great job on getting to 29. Another 6 days and you'll have a new record!
It's been snowy and bitter cold here the last couple of days. It makes me think seriously about quitting smoking (again...). I'm not going to worry too much about that now though. My main priority is to get a little more adjusted to sobriety.
I hope everyone is having a good start to the week!
