Hi Guys, can I join the group?
I'm only on day 2 (again-had a little slip) so it's my second time to try living sober.
I don't have time to read the previous pages but I'd like to say Hi to you all and wish you a nice -sober - day!

Too damn right, chebella, girls get in here for free!! (sorry, only kidding, I am just about to have my 2 weeks sober party in about 8 minutes and I dont want it all to be just blokes!!!)
I saw some posts of yours over on the Novembie thread.
Welcome to the under 2 week thread. It is absolutely fabulous over here, we are really cracking this together. Without these guys I could never have made it. Please keep coming back here - you won't regret it.

Day 2... I want this more than I ever have wanted something before. It's amazing to read thru the posts and see myself! Like one saying "waking up and reviewing the evening in your head to try and remember if you did or said anything dumb" that is, if you can even remember!! I try and think of all the positives, looking and feeling better, being a more active mom, not planning around drinking (maybe I'll make a dentist appointment since it will no longer get in the way of drinking) , the secret disposing of bottles. I can't wait to have more days under my belt like you guys, CONGRATS ALL!

Welcome Chebella, Zuri and Mayson28, glad you can join us. Two weeks ago I started out here, I had no idea that I could feel as amazing as I do today in such a short amount of time. The folks here are the most authentic and supportive you'll ever have the pleasure to "virtually" meet! Check in often, it really will help you more than you realise.
SD and COOP, the batton is definately with you guys now. The team is growing by the minute. Great work everyone!
I'll pop in for the celebrations tomorrow!

Thanks for the impromptu party, Iamlivingfree. Like you say, they have the baton now and if I am not mistaken its you next coop1 AND its going to happen on Thanksgiving? Now, you tell me, what kind of a Thanksgiving party you think we are going to have here for you, buddy?
And I dont want to hear that ANY of you yankees have dropped the baton merely cos its the Thanksgiving holiday, ok?
Btw, my local shepherd dropped by here today (dunno who told him about my 14 day party). He had been picking wild mushrooms and he wanted to give me some to put in my pasta tonight. So....
1) if I end up tripping for a week, you know who to blame
2) if I check out completely, it was 'im what done me in!!!
Anyway my strife (cockney rhyming slang for "trouble and strife" = wife) gets back tomorrow to a brand new "sober" hubby. So I might not be checking in here quite as often over the next couple of days. I dont want to come back to a church hall or nothing. We celebrate sobriety here!!!!

Nat, I was wondering where you were today. No worries on Thanksgiving...I am actually looking forward to being sober this year. It sure as hell is going to surprise some family members. What thread are you going to now that you've had your graduation party?
