Yep, pass it over Zebra. I played for a solid two hours, and I am a hurting unit. I would like to say it is a good pain, but that would be a lie. I just plain hurt. I am drinking a "recovery shake" now hoping a can at least crawl out of bed tomorrow.
But I will probably play again next Sunday. Anything that hurts this bad HAS to be good for you, right?

Bdiddy...it is so hard to watch someone we love struggling, when we know what the answers are to his struggle. But, it is his struggle, and it will have to be his choice for recovery.I think it is harder for those of us who have embraced recovery and want it so badly for our loved one.
Zebra, thanks for the tip about the app, I am going to check it out.
I had a touch of something this weekend, not sure what, but, I spent most of the day yesterday sleeping it away...I hope!

Morning everyone. Another shot of winter here in SD. More snow and now tonight it is supposed to get down to -33 degrees WITHOUT wind chill. Just plain air temperature. Now that is cold!
Otherwise, doing well. Not much new to report here. I am pretty sore in the legs after my two hours of basketball. Getting old sucks.
Have a great Tuesday everyone.

If it gets worse, not sure I can handle it. I have always been known to get more sore than most people. My muscles cramp and spasm pretty bad when I first start a new activity. Today is day two, and I can barely walk and stairs are one at a time. And this is after I have been working out 4 days a week for two months. Not sure what the deal is. Boy, I can't wait until I am in my 60's.
But, no pain....no gain!

To listen to the weather forecasts around here you would think that the world was coming to an end. We are used to some pretty big snowfalls, but high winds are a challenge for travel. It sounds like we will be snowed in tomorrow which could be kinda fun unless the power goes out. Then there is no heat.

Yeah, I am guessing what we had yesterday is making its way towards you Zebra. Stay inside and safe. I have read some articles that generators are flying out the door of stores that sell them. Maybe a good time to buy some stock in a generator company.... haha.
A couple of times a year, usually when the power goes out for more than a couple of hours we say that we need to get a generator. We never do. In the summer when the power goes out the thing we miss the most is Wi-Fi. In the winter the power never goes out. I'm thinking maybe we will have heat after all. Our furnace is natural gas. The thermostat is electronic but it runs on a couple of AA batteries. If we have heat, I'm good. My Nook is charged up and we have oil lamps and candles (in the old days I'd be making a run to the store to make sure I had plenty of alcohol in case we get snowed in).

But are you sure your furnace will still run? I am pretty sure furnaces are still electronic ignition. So even though it burns natural gas, and your thermostat has batteries, I think you still need electricity for the furnace to ignite. I am not much of an HVAC guy, but I think that is how it works.
And I hear you about making sure you have plenty of alcohol. I would have been doing the same thing a couple years ago. What a relief to have one less thing to worry about during a blizzard, eh?

You guys would get a kick out of these Texans. The area schools are closed not because of snow or ice, but because it's "too cold." And by too cold, I'm talking 8 degrees (-9 wind chill). Makes me laugh.
Anyway, one year today! Feels like just another day. Have a great Wednesday!
