My mental pause is so bad....
(How bad is it, teach?)
I finally remembered an old trick my dear grandmother taught me.
I remembered it about 5-6 months ago.
And I bought a whistle to hang next to the phone.
It's for those annoying phone calls that come in, unwanted.
Solicitors, kids playing tricks, whatever....
When they call, you blow the whistle - hard!
Well, I got the whistle,
And I've got it hanging near the phone.
But, when the calls come,
I keep forgetting to *use* it! Duh!

I have a *very* long "to do" list for my vacation week.
It's not going to be a good vacation...
Can't go anywhere.
And I got another $500 oil bill! :>(
I'm afraid to open my electric bill....
I have to do soooo much for my professional liscense.
And I don't think it's going to matter.
Everyone I talk to says the State Department is
denying their renewal anyway.
But, we are told we can pay $500 for a 2 year extension.
Problem with that "temporary relieve" is...
This is the *last* year they are using this particular I-Plan!
So, it's legalized THEFT!!!
I know the state is broke, but,
Don't try to balance the budget on *my* back!

cmc, I've noticed that! When I clean it looks great for - oh - 20 minutes. A thankless task, for sure. You shouldn't even be doing housework with your sore thumb.

We've got at least three inches already and it's still coming down!!
Had to call a taxi to pick up kid and bring her home. The driver said the roads were getting really nasty. I'm not going anywhere until the snow stops and the roads are plowed and salted!!
