I was on a "bird watching" expedition about 2 hours south of here, returning to a spot where I had noticed tons of natural areas where birds are abundant. So I was up before dawn and on the road with KB (who never puts his foot down, lol) and my camera and over to the little offshore islands...and discovered that it was a holiday and every "tourist" in the state had decided to invade MY (don't they know who I am?) area and TALK REAL LOUD AND SCARE THE BIRDS AWAY!!!
I have a whole new "idea" now, to go to Lake Myakka state park where I know there are many alligators, but also great birds, so I'll just be very careful about where I walk. Also, the everglades are calling my name...I just have to convince KB that it would be a good idea to drive through there.
Short version of all this...Queeny lives to whine and is absent only because of vacation and birds calling to her to "come see".

Ann..I've been to Myakka State Park. Took kids when they were little. They enjoyed the boat ride out to see the alligators. Have you been to St. Armands Circle to go shopping for windows....
almost forgot my whine...my computer doesn't recognize any dvds or cds in the disk drive...I might have worn it out!!!! yikes

Well, my dear whiners; I went to see doc #2 this afternoon, about the thumb.
It turns out that unlike what doc #1 thought.....I _did_ need THE SHOT.
owchie-wow-ow-wow.
Yep....right into the lower thumb joint and btw...did I mention those shots hurt? (the good news is that he told me to ditch the stupid brace and that it should feel better by tomorrow)
The new and correct diagnosis is 'trigger thumb' aka injury induced tendonitis and as we know anything attached to an 'itis' no fun. The exception to that rule of course, would be whiney-itis.:chatter

Had to go out for an appt this afternoon. The roads were/are nasty and the snow is still coming down, not supposed to stop until ten pm!! And my two kids (here in town) are mad at me cause I would'nt take them to a restaurant due to the roads! Neither of them drives so cannot understand the hazards of driving during a snowstorm! Oh well, they'll get over it eventually.
At least my dogs still/always love me and don't scream at me or make unreasonable demands!

I also visited Lake Myakka back then which is why I am very aware of the alligators there, lol. The park around the lake is filled with wonderful birds, so I need to check out getting in there (without getting eaten by an alligator...which would be a whine to end all whines, lol)
CMC, big hugs and hope the thumb responds well to the shot.
And Least, I'm sorry about the snow up north and respectfully have not posted that it's unseasonably cool in Florida...well I guess I just did but it doesn't qualify as a whine, okay?
My whine? I am craving strawberry ice cream and KB will not go get me some! I know I could go myself, but it's way more fun and tastes better when someone goes and gets it for you!!
