Map???? Map??? i didn't know they still made maps.....i just yell at the Biotch..on the GPS.....

we have lots of viruses circulating through the hospital...my medical students come to my area every wednesday for didactic lectures...along with everything they are carrying from seeing patients both inhouse and clinics...so almost every Thursday I have some kind of headache, lower GI virus or just feel plain crappy...I completely understand your aversion to "Typhoid Bahama.....

I love the Bahamas.....Mr. Fandy and I spent 8 days in Atlantis last year...we had perfect weather too.

Great link, least!
Thanks!
I already signed the petition with CF kids deserve better.
I hope others will too, if they believe so.

The superintendent announced last night that she's coming back to the bargaining table with the teachers. However, the board of trustees have not rescinded the firing of the teachers! I do not know how one could negotiate, when one side of the bargaining unit doesn't have jobs! That doesn't make any sense to me! There was another rally tonight at the Board of Regents for RI Education. I wasn't able to make it. But I'm looking forward to hearing about it. They had people coming from VT and NH this time! :
Well, it's time for this one to hit the hay.
Woke up too early again this morning. Rested, but, never got back to sleep.

Whine on, whiners!

Shalom!

I love Estate Sales Zipperman, save me a front row seat!!

Fandy, I had paper maps, GPS (mine doesn't talk but texts directions and times), a "Trip Tik" from CAA/AAA and hand written notes each day...and yes, I AM obsessive/compulsive, lol.

But it's hopeless when the car conversations go something like this...

Queeny: Start heading into the right lane because you want exit #123 to Hwy. 4N just 1 mile up the road.

King Bubba: We're going on Hwy. 4N? Isn't Hwy. 4 an east or west Hwy?

Queeny: No, north! Get right! we're almost there.

KB: Are you sure?

Queeny: Yes, I am certain!!! Get right KB!! There's the exit!!

KB: I can't get right, there is a car in that lane.

Then we miss the exit and have to figure out how to turn around and come back and try again. *dramatically throws self on floor*

Good morning Whiners!! It's a fine day to whine, today.

My father and I drive the same way....When I go to the family faerm, it takes me 11 hours...i take the back roads cause they are beautiful, and I get lost at least once....not exactly lost...I just get going and miss the turns

Mom and I still laugh about the time dad and i were driving home from emporia and got to talking and spaced off the exit and ended up 60 miles in the wrong direction....

And ask charmie about the time I picked her up at the airport and we ended up in missori!

I miss my dad.

Get this....Mr. Fandy is semi-retired...he works part-time as a driver of the Elite corporate hotshots....he drives all over the tri-state area to several airports in NY, NJ, Philly....he's been doing this for 5 years, he knows all the roads by memory...he is what they call a "preferred driver"....he drives some famous sports figures, Bobby Flay and many heads of large companies, he's frequently at the NYSE, always in the city.

he has sometimes 2 GPS navigation systems depending on the car he is driving and his own personal Garmin....(set with the Australian accent woman talking in soothing tones).

He STILL misses the local exit when we go shopping, because he is ADMIRING the large construction equipment, and wonders how the new road will look....and he almost makes us miss our flight to the Bahamas..because he did not remember we needed to go to the INTERNATIONAL terminal....OY-VEY!!...the air between his ears!

does this count as a whine? or just a mere complaint? On the plus side, he always remembered to buy cat litter when he lived with me.

Queenie

Yes, you were right to stay on I-4N....but
it _does_ run from east to west between Tampa & Lakeland which is why KB may have been confused? :ghug3

I must say that this was top notch whine...worthy to be published in the WA magazine: The Whine Vine. I especially liked this part:

I made up the highway number here, but indeed may have been on Hwy. 4 at some time in our journey

CMC, I highly recommend a product called Cold-FX which boosts your immune system. It's over the counter here, has no iffy or strange ingredients and I hope you can get it in the US.

I am recouping from 4 days in the car with KB, and enjoying my "space".

Just today (one day after we got home) he asked "Do you want to go for a car ride?" I said "No thanks." I thought "Are you out of your ever-lovin' mind???" and mentally threw myself on the floor dramatically once again.

I am earning my Queeny title these days, yes indeedy I am.

Add me to the dark chocolate lover list. Chocolate is SUPPOSED to be dark.

Up and reporting for whining duty, Pattee!

Contractors left my house a *major* mess yesterday!
I was so PO'd, I emailed them twice!
Had to sleep on the couch in the dining room, but,
only after I had to move the chair, and a bunch of wood left laying around!

Spent half hour this morning cleaning up the crap in the small bathroom.
I'm getting scractes on my wood floors, cuz they leave crap everywhere,
and it gets pushed around.
I can't even walk into the living room - a great room -
cuz they dumped wood *right* in the walk way! :wtf2:

But, on another note,
I got a message on FaceBook from the NY Times education correspondent yesterday too. He wanted me to call him for an interview about the president's remarks on the firing of the teachers at Central Falls. I gave my interview; don't know if it will be used or not, but he took my number if he wants to talk to me again. And the correct spelling of my name. :rotfxko

So, whine on, whiners!

Shalom!

Thanks, Teach, it's good to be understood and I hope your house becomes your home again real soon.

You know how I have my rule "Never shop with a man!!"?

Well today KB and I are heading to a big mall about an hour away that is having a fluffy towel and great bedding sale. I took a look at my towels and realized that some of them are more than 10 years old I can tell by the colours, when we moved one time I bought a bunch of burgundy towels and it's just time, that's all!!

So I will save my whine for later, I know there will be one when we combine one hour each way and shopping...perhaps have your earplugs ready?
