Good day today.
And had a union meeting afterwards.
Though not too many showed up,
A day before the holiday break began....
It was a productive meeting, nontheless.
Once more, the 104 displaced teachers.
Questions answered; issues raised.
Now, I have to get the minutes out to those not in attendance.
So they will be aware of the latest developments.
And the call for action
So necessary for us right now
As we fight for our jobs; our careers!
While the new superintendent still tells other superintendents that
he plans to be rid of us at the end of the year.
Regardless of the state law!
I'll just keep on doing the right thing
Each day,
And know that,
I'll either be given my classroom back, or
I'll be taking an early retirement.
And starting a new career
Sooner than I had planned!
And, you know what?
That's ok with me. :>)

Today is the last day of school before vacation. 
Two glorious weeks off!
Not going anywhere. Going to be home baking before Christmas, for gifts.
Afterwards, I'll be playing around the house, and making sure things are ready for my certification renual. And I'll be visiting friends. And relaxing.
And the guys will be working upstairs, so, I'll be busy there, too.
I slept through the night last night too!
And didn't get a phone call at 5:15 this morning!!!
Maybe the senator did do something, afterall, without responding to me. LOL!
But, I found out at the union meeting last night
that the calls were coming from the SCHOOL DEPARTMENT!
They were asking if I wanted a job for that day.
It was not identified on my answering machine, but,
someone suggested that, by the time my machine answered it,
that information was cut off.
I need to find out how to have that feature SHUT OFF!
I do not get up at 5:15 AM, and I'm often in bed by 9:30 when they call!
It's 13 degrees outside.
With the wind chill, it's -1 degrees.
I *had* a good assignment today. But, HR just called, and switched me to another school, where there's always alot of problems. *sigh*
Thankfully, with it being so cold, and being the day before vacation, many students will not show up! And that's another reason why "Johnnie" can't do the 3 Rs! LOL!
Well, enough whines for now!

No whines on this early Friday morning... hope I'm not kicked out of WA for being whineless two days in a row. I do have the desire to stop whining so I guess that means I can still be in WA...

Temperature Queenyland is -12C or 6F and lots of ground snow.
Temperature Clearwater Beach 70F and lots of palm trees.
Woooo Hoooo! Bring it on!!!!!! Sunshine, shopping, and restaurants....does life get better than this?!!!!

I went to the Holiday party I was invited to after school.
It was nice. The school that invited me is one I've been to often this year.
Had some food, some chatter and everyone was so nice to me!
It made up for the day I had, LOL!
The guys were still here working when I got home.
Things are starting to move upstairs!
I have to start making permanent decisions now.
Thankfully, I'll be home to do so.
I'm tired. It's going to be an early night.
I have to go to the store for a few things tomorrow,
then, it's a marathon baking session all weekend.
And another holiday party tomorrow night.
*If* we don't get the big storm supposed to be coming in,
And burying us...
Won't be long for this world, tonight.
Hope I can sleep through again; it felt soooo good last night!
So, have a blessed night, whinners!
