Liz...inspiring as always....about volunteering, I had the exact same thoughts that I commit myself and then get overwhelmed and into "**** and moan" mood (me, not you) and question why I volunteered in the first place. But, when I am in that space, I use the ol' "It's just for a few hours (or day or whatever applies) and it shrinks the icky feeling. Plus, I remember the good that I am doing. I totally agree with AA, and virtually all spiritual advisors that giving of yourself is the true ticket to happiness.

I got caught up over the weekend in decorating/preparations/shopping and I haven't had a chance to post but I am reading about all of you.

I actually need to watch out that I don't get to overwhelmed/pre-occupied with the holidays. I did not go to a meeting this weekend and I really have no excuse for not making any. I didn't do any reading either and I forgot to do my gratitude list.
