I am bored stiff... and I don't 'feel like' doing anything. It's too cold to walk the dogs and I'm tired of watching movies and I don't feel like washing the many dishes that have appeared in the sink since ck came home from school.

New whine for today....
I'm making apple butter,
And canning it up for the winter,
Just like a good little squirrel. :>)
But, why,
for G*D's sake,
Someone please explain to me!
Why does the recipe say
*NOT* to core the dang apples
prior to cooking them?
Do you have any idea how difficult it is
To get all them dang little pieces of apple core out
AFTER the apples are cooked, cut up and HOT!!!
It's taking me forever to go through pounds of apples
And I have to do it all by hand to make sure I get all the little suckers out.
I don't want my apple butter
Getting stuck in my teeth!
Or worse, giving it to friends as gifts,
And getting a piece of core stuck in *their* teeth,
When they bite into a nice muffin
With freshly made apple butter on it!
Done whining for now. ;>)
Oh, but, while I was waiting for it to cool down a bit
In order to work the apples,
I was able to make a batch of salsa, and can that for the winter! :>)

I use splenda, not sugar.
It's all good for you!
And delicious too!

I had enough squishing apples by hand for one day.
It took HOURS!
Next time, ferget the recipe!
I *will* core the apples first!
And I'm going to make applesauce with the rest of the apples.

Here is my whinathon for Sunday...hockey, football, basketball, more hockey, football Grey Cup game, really bad basketball...it never ends!!! I mean, it NEVER ends.
The good news is, I shopped...saving King Bubba hundreds of dollars. He was, of course, delighted...because I told him during a football game and he wasn't paying a lick of attention...*snicker, snork*.
