Krissy

Gyps

Stoney

Frst

Dee!

Barb...as in dwyer...

Did I leave anyone out? Hope not.

I may be too busy to get on tomorrow...I've torn my mama's house apart cleaning...

It needed it.

Everything is nice and shiny..even put Christmas decorations.

My daughter is briging a pre made dinner , ham, scalloped potatoes, rolls, green

bean casserole, apple pie. I am making deviled eggs and pecan pie.

She is so sweet...to think of this as my mom is still too weak to get out.

Take care...but I'll try to pop in.

I got this in a email...

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

May we remember our blessings.

You are mine.

Hugs all.

Love ya.
Happy Thanksgiving

I'm not too thrilled with them either Scott. Grateful to be sober though. We can get through them together!

Part 130 WOOT!

I don't care for the winter holidays either. They represent sadness to me. Not due to my drinking in the past but it's been since my mother passed away I guess. Some of you may already know this: She was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2006. Did the whole chemo and radiation bit and by September was in and out of the hospital. Mostly in. When she was home it wasn't good... very sick she was. So by around Thanksgiving that year was really towards the end. I cooked the dinner she would've made and we all ate while she lay in the hospital.Of course we spent part of the day with her as well. I had the teen & prodigy.... my sister had my neices but rarely did she bring them to the hospital. I however camped out there with the babies in the double stroller all day till midnight most every day.She passed away on December 12.... 3 days after my brothers birthday...4 days before mine. Her funeral was on my birthday that year .My step dad didn't want to but I couldn't see how waiting another day would make it any better so we did it on my birthday. Christmas was very sad that year. I cooked, did the same dinner as she would've made and all that. I do it every year. But... this time of year always brings all of those memories back fresh and new as if it were yesterday.

I know holidays are supposed to be happy but for me they are not. Add to the problems I have at home are usually in full swing at any holiday time anyway. Holidays are for the children.if I didn't have any I would hibernate all winter.

OK dismal rant over.

I'm smoking the turkey now... it's lightly drizzling out which makes it a bit more difficult to keep the temperature up. Some sides are finished and I cheated and bought pies this year since I'm low on time. I have to sub tonight and also tomorrow morning :.Luckily most of the rest of dinner is low maintainence.

I just ironed a table cloth. I must be feeling sick . I would like to shower but if I do I'll just smell like a bonfire by the time I leave to teach. I hope the turkey is finished by the time I leave. I was going to put in on at 7am but stayed in bed till 10am. Hard to smoke in the dark mon.

Happy Windex Friday everyone!

Glad you're up and about leasty. Do you feel at all better?

See you when you return K.

Have a great day to anyone that is traveling away from the computers and won't be checking in. Myself? I will be here sporadically to keep my sanity .

I am not good around the holidays. Too much forced "joy" and stress. I am being grateful I have Hubs, my cats and a job. Too many sad memories, too many loved ones gone.

It will pass.

Hope everyone tries to stay positive!

Love,

Lenina

Scott. I hope it isn't frizen Friday yet. I have to teach at 6am!!!

But then I'm taking a special power class at the studio with my instructor. Of course I also teach Friday evening as well so let's hold off on wanting it to be Friday already eh ?

* As you can see I'm taking it easy on the shoulder .

* You can come here if stoney doesn't let you in.It's a shorter drive too.
