Louis, I'm sure that was a difficult call for you, but your reasoning sounds very sane to me. One of the hardest hurdles for me is getting over the "shoulds" in my life that are other directed and not healthy. In other words, if I do something because I think I should because someone else won't be happy about it (even though I know in my heart, it is the wrong path), I am going against my own heart and have a resentment to boot. My waffling and pissing and moaning during my dig comes to mind....Anyways, good for you to see the path that is right for you! Now...on to getting you some heat and no landlord's booze in the fridge...
And, Ro, I doubled over after reading about you and the bird on your head! What a hoot! But I don't get it...you're going to be something like an officer of the court, right? Why all the rules about hair....fitness and uniform, I get, but hair????

I'm back, I ended up going to a meeting after the doctor and boy did it feel good. Topic Gratitude. People were moving away from me with this cough even though I said I wasn't contagious.
The doctor was very nice, I brought the MRI report I got from the hospital but didn't have the films. It seems the damaged discs in my back are worse and now there is arthritis in my back which is causing all this pain in my leg. Sooooooo on December 7th he is going to do outpatient epidural in my back. He said it should help with the pain but I might need a 2nd shot in 3 months. I told him about my addictions and he was very nice, asked me why I went back out after 15 years and I explained it was the pain med's for my back that I started abusing and one thing led to another. So no med's for me, thank you God. I need to have someone drive me there and wait for me because he said my right side will be completely numb for about 3 hours after it. Had to sign a waiver just in case it causes me to be paralyzed. Now I have to go to the hospital where I had the MRI on Friday and pick up the film so he can see exactly where to insert needle.
Oh and my blood pressure was so high in his office he was concerned. I think it was just from all this coughing, so I will watch it and keep up with the blood pressure med that I take.
Ro, our court officers here have to keep their hair tied back or above shoulder too. You get a night stick too, right? And handcuffs. Hmm kind of kinky I would say
