i've been doing great. i rarely ever get an urge any more.
i had quit 2x before for 100 days and 58 days. i never reached the level i'm at now.
i've found that i love being straight now. i appreciate little things like the taste of food. good sleep.
my paychecks go so much further now too. i know i spend more on coffee and sometimes an energy drink but i spend nowhere near what i spent on alcohol.
and the money did not make me quit....it's just a very nice side benefit.

Still here David. Still sober. How are you doing? Still trudging the path to happy destiny?

hello September .................... well last yr this forum was started and seems we lost almost all the memebers sad , but thats how it is in recovery , lets see if we can keep it going this yr
Hi to everyone , Im Endzy a greatful recovering alki .. Im nearing my 7th yr in recovery and I cant begin to explain how wonder it has been and what an amazing thing it has done for me and my life
I have an amazing husband. a new home we justy bought 3 months ago , Im not workin at this moment , but I know that something good will turn out from that situation , I just need to be patient . And I am ( hard to beleive that ) when I say it but I really am ok with that .. sure things aint always peachie .. but I know that the life I have now is one million times better then the one I had before ..
I look forward to meeting the new septemeber class and some of those from b4 . I know of one who shares my same celebration birthday
. so welcome and introduce your self and if theres anything I can do to help dont hesitate to ask . Im around

Just thought I'd post in my old thread that someone is still around from last September. Hope there are others but they have been too busy to post.
Today is 1 year sober for me. The blessings have been numerous. The growth tremendous.

thanks Kab.. indeed things are good on my side of the globe and im truly greatful for my recovery time , without it , i surly know I wouldnt be where I am today .
Its such an amazing gift .
I adore my house it so fits us and is like it was made for us , sure needs a lil tlc and all now and then but thats the part of owning a home . And it contects my husband and myslef evenmore . Just as long as he dont ask me to hold a open ended wire and flip the switch to see if its off .. (JK ) ..
But im greatful so very greatful and glad to be where Im at today .. huggles Endzy

Congrats on your 1 year Ash and your baby! I know how tiring that can be. Hope you get your strength back soon. You have been missed. Take care of yourself and get rest when you can.
