Banks aren't what they used to be Zipperman, they are no longer "user friendly". Remember the old days when you'd get to know your Bank Manager and anytime you had a kerfluffle, the Bank Manager would sort it all out?

Now they transfer the Branch Manager three times a month and made everyone else into Account Managers.

The old phrase "Can I speak to the MANAGER please?" just carries no weight at all anymore because everyone is a manager and there is no one in control. *Sigh*

Ok, I rode on Z's whine, but it WAS worthy, yes?

A friend emailed me that she's finished all her Christmas shopping online, except for a few things.

Well....I don't think this lizard is as cute as I did the other day!!! NO way.

Mr cmc was sure that because of the force he felt....that the baby gecko had jumped on his head. I'm now very certain that there was no jumping involved.

I now know better.....it fell from the ceiling.

The low end of the sloped ceiling over my bed is about 13 feet high. There are beams up there where any self-respecting baby gecko would love to hang out while the people of the house are asleep.

The trouble with lizards is that they are cold blooded. (Biology101)
When the central AC cycles on....if they are in front of the cold stream of air...they can fall. It is that simple.

I should have figured it out before because when we have a sudden cold snap overnight; all the lizards who seek warmth high in the trees fall out and just lie on the ground until the sunlight revives them. Every year the paper will publish some silly article on how tourists or newcomers to the state think it's raining lizards....Well, that's fine if it's outside.....but not in my house.

I can catch them and don't mind an occasional lizard in the house; but I cannot stand them falling on me when I'm trying to sleep.
I was up very late last night trying to find the one who fell on my head. I know it's silly but I ripped the whole bed apart and even took an extra shower....just in case that lizard had germs y'know.

Cute or not...there will be no more lizards in my house.
:camper:This means war.

That just horrifies me, lizards dropping from the ceiling or even trees for that matter. Just when I have become accustomed to bats (outdoors only) and the enormous bug removal they do....now I need to think about lizards.

I am hoping to come to Florida over Christmas this year. Please tell me that the cooler December will not make it rain lizzards? Pretty please?

Uhhhh, Hevyn...

That one may top it.

Disgusting, I say! A procrastinator like me cannot imagine doing such an outrageous

thing! She'll miss all the excitement and panic of doing it two days before Christmas!

lol))))

But..

I hates lizards too. Too unpredictable!

Midge..you must have been a tomboy when you were a wee lass....

Hugs, Whiners.. :ghug2:

Mine?

I've missed whining!

"A Whine a Day Keeps Insanity Away"... lol

I'm sticking with it.

Come to Canada Dee, we don't have lizards here.

I walked a gazillion miles today with my camera, and saw nothing shot-worthy. If I had left the camera at home I would have seen several deer and maybe a bald eagle (they migrate through here). *tired whine*.

I felt it was annoying & boastful of her to share her Christmas shopping triumph on the first day of fall. Why can't we enjoy one season at a time instead of rushing everything? (My whine still pales in comparison to lizards raining down on cmc.)

hevyn....I dunno, just reading about what your friend told you made me feel another whine coming on....about people who say insensitive things.

I think your whine about the early-bird Christmas shopper is a WA winner.

Keep whining, it works if you whine about it.

Mine is a trembling-with-rage-and-fright whine. Going to the post office I nearly had an accident with a pick up truck who ran a red light. Sailed right thru it like it was green on his side!!! Fortunately my aging reflexes are still working right. I slammed on the brakes and missed him by about a foot. I was so scared by what almost happened I had to pull over and sit for a few minutes til I stopped shaking so badly.

Why are the cops never around when you need them??

I just wish one of my angels had been wearing a badge and could have ticketed that menace before he did any real harm!
