Heard of alot of people that went back out this week, kinda scary. Today and even now "How it Works" keeps going through my head. Even at the interview I kept thinking it over and over "rarely have we seen a person fail, that has thoroughly followed our path....." I think my HP must be giving me a message.
Its true Bee it works if we work it. I have lost count of those who have realsped and recently two close friends have left the rooms, one is uisng and the other struggling. They stopped working and practicing the program. Whatever our program or support its only useful if its No 1 and part of our lives.

I have been really lucky in a way, being unemployed since before getting sober. I was able to really work a strong program, going to 2 meetings a day since September. I was able to devote all my time to getting sober, and I really did. Last time I was sober it was for everyone else and this time, well it is all for me. I am working the steps, and helping other alcoholics. Things have been really hard but I am living proof to myself that it can be done, I am seeing that I have gotten through all the rough times without having to pick up a drug or a drink. Before I never thought it was possible. And now, as promised, the promises are starting to come true. I really am grateful today for all the darkness as well as the light.
IO glad you like some of my favorite authors....
Patricia Cornwell has The Scarpetta Factor coming out sometime in October.....oooooh I can't wait. I'll have to reserve it at the library.
Koontz has Breathless coming out sometime in November
and Steve King has Under The Dome coming out in November (I always get King's books for Christmas) I'm excited - haven't read a new book from any of these in quite some time.
so glad to see nogard and rusty here
this room is just busting at the seams with good hearts!!

You are so right Rusty, I got so much closer to my HP this time around. We are best bud's!!!!
Hi BO
I loved every one of Cromwell's books except for the one she wrote with her daughter. I just love Scarpetta.
Sanford all his "prey" novels are great.
Koontz I haven't read his stuff since last Sept, I'm sure there are many I need to catch up on.
Problem is I end up buying one of their books and get it home start reading and damn, I already read it I need to start visiting the library that way I don't lose money.

Hi Bo! And welcome Kev....another Aussie (or is Dee from NZ?). Maybe HE can straighten us out on the time zone/International Date line issues we were having...what was it...probably in Part 3 or so? Heehee
My heart is bursting, my eyes screwed shut with gratitude.
What an image! Goes hand in hand with Nelsie and her magnetic belt!

Hey Kev welcome to the Living in Sobriety thread I'm so glad to log in and see everyone sharing their recovery.
I called my sponsor tonight she's been struggling with depression really bad but she asked for help and tonight she sounds better and I'm so glad that I can be a friend to her during this time. She went above and beyond for me when I was in hospital.

Oh Ro, I'm sooooooooooooooooo sorry. I blame it on lack of sleep, or dotage, or space junk or cell phone signals or all of the above. You really had me hooting last night and I knew it was you. I'm just bushed tonight (but in a good way) and will fill everyone in tomorrow.
