Living in Sobriety Part 5
I NEVER went to rehab sober. Never. I just didn't have it in me. All 7 times I went I was loaded. Ugh. So glad I don't have to live like that anymore.
Went to my meeting. It was the women's meeting. It was good. I'm glad I went.
LOTS of drama going on at my AA club right now. I'm real glad that I'm not involved in any of it.
I'm glad you're all here. I'm here for all of you too.

Tanya, if there is one thing I hate besides bugs of course, its Drama. So much friggin drama amongst alcoholics I am finding in recovery, even on these boards. I just can't get pulled into it, it doesnt' feel good. I'm glad you went to your meeting and it was good for you. You really needed to go after what you've been going through.
Tan, I went to rehab three times and felt like a loser for going three times. I too was drunk when I got there, and felt like I couldn't face it sober. Thank you for making me feel better about myself - I really need that right now.
You're welcome Least. I'm not proud of going 7 times. But it takes what it takes. And I guess that is what it took for me. I went to rehab the first time when I was 19. The last time I was 39.
I'm just glad I finally got done. It was a painful experience. For me and many others.
but today life is good. God's grace
