home depot day, then yard work at my house and the aunt's. aunt has a HUGE yard, i can stay busy there all day every day...it's chilly. we need some warm days now. i'm sick of shoes and socks.

My authoritarian approach with dk and her boyfriend isn't working so I'm taking a different tack: I apologized to him for being mean and asked his forgiveness. Also told him that he was welcome to see her at our home and that I'd come get him as it's a long walk from where he lives and it's on a busy highway. I feel better about myself now that I've apologized and hope we can have a decent relationship. AFter all, if he likes my daughter there must be something good in him.

I asked him (when I called to apologize) if he would just do two things to make me happy. One, to be good to her, and two, to not get her pregnant or give her any diseases. He said he'd comply with my requests. So I'm hoping for a better relationship with dk and her bf.:praying


I like myself better when I'm not being hateful...

I figure we could be a good influence on him. I would like to convince him to get his GED since he dropped out of high school. I could tutor him if he needed it... as long as it's not about math! And if he feels welcome in my home maybe we could "kill him with kindness", so to speak. Being hateful and demanding hasn't worked so it's time to "try a little tenderness". Besides, if I push him away I'll be pushing dk away also and I don't want to do that.

Hi all. I have had the worst 3 months of my "recovery". I hate to call it that as I have lost the plot somewhat. I have been drinking for maybe 1 out of 2 days since March time and I want to stop. I have been in bed for maybe 2 hours and in the last 30 minutes or so I have had what you might call an epiphany and as such I am back here and am going to go back to AA tomorrow.

I need a kick up the arse to be fair and expect it on a thread where I would class you as my e-buddies, albeit for a short period of time.

Today is my birfday. 42 years young I'm getting the new iphone for my birfday! Woo hoo! I'll get it next Friday. I'm so excited!

A very happy birthday to you Tan!:day1


I am feeling happy today cause I was just informed that I meet the requirements for the county emergency assistance program and I will be able to get help getting my car fixed. There's a lot wrong with it and I haven't the money to fix it myself. Brakes are almost gone and the steering has bad problems, so will be glad to have it all fixed up and safe to drive.

My new mower works great. I just mowed the yard and have to wait til dk is out of the shower so I can get in. In the meantime I shall walk the dogs. Beautiful day here today, no rain, so that's good.
