Nel, its great 15 years!!!!! Stone, you and Ro better stop bickering over avatars. Gonna go to picnic, big step "Fear of people" keep changing my mind, but I know I must do this, and my friggin kids are driving me crazy. I hate them this morning. No I'm only kidding, love them hate their busting!!!! I'm afraid of what my house will look like when I get home later on.:wild I know its a control thing, right? I'm sure it will still be standing, just don't know the condition it will be in. |
I mean its been 15 yrs since we met up. Its great to hear she is sober 2 yrs. believe.... remember the promises and Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. i thought of both of us when I thought of them. I have experienced those promises too.......but sometimes when I try to run things my way....my will not Gods will...I feel insecure again. You just go there and introduce yourself to a couple of people and it will be another major hurdle for you. The house will survive (but I know what you mean) lol |

Hey Believe - I had a very difficult time adjusting to gatherings without alcohol to make a wall of comfort. but it did get better. I mean it DOES get better. |

I'm back and the house is still standing in one piece, haha. But they expect me to cook dinner for them, give me a break 22 & 20 cook for yourself leave me alone. Picnic was nice, I knew alot of the people but still felt uncomfortable. Stayed 2 hrs then left with friend from program and went for coffee for 1-1/2 hrs. I am not an outdoorsy person, too many bugs!!!! A little green worm fell off the tree on me and skeved me out. I hate bugs!!!! Nice day but I still have that fear of people. I know it will get better, I feel like I took a major step even going today. How is everyone here doing? Stoney where are you, you can't be sleeping already!!! Nel, oh I went back over your post, I see said the blind man!!! IO sorry about the headache, believe it or not I got one myself right now, anxiety probably. Hi Barb glad to see you around and thanks for your positive message. Oh and hi scaredy!!!!! Well hope I got everyone. Glad I'm home its thundering and starting to rain. |

Don't encourage him, Donna, we just got him back on a schedule! LOL I went to a bridal shower today it was nice - couple of gals in recovery were there, too. Picked up my daughter, raked the yard out back, and dozed in a lawn chair for an hour. Just cooked chops and salad - eating now. Believe it or not, I gotta headache, too. Prolly from the sun. Donna congratulations on getting to the picnic - I understand the fear, believe me. And bugs! I frickin hate bugs! I'm tired - always tired. Good to see everyone. |
