Just to throw in my 1 cent worth.
Did anyone know that originally the steps took 4 yes four hours to complete. It was intended that the recovering alkie would repeat the process at some point. So much reading out there that isnt the BB. Not to knock it tho'

What the what? They cancelled? Why?? That sucks the big one, Scotty!

Tucked into hotel bed after a nice swim in the hotel pool. It's been a great day. Daughter co-piloted, I got us lost, and she got us found! Driving in circles, but we finally made it here. The wedding ceremony was lovely, outdoors, warm and very sunny. Very picturesque little town here.

I can't upload my pics. Something wrong with my card reader - or one of my drivers needs to be updated. I'm not sure - I'll do it tomorrow from home.

Tomorrow we are going to the Falls - will take lots of pics. I just hope to God it doesn't rain. It's pouring rain out now. Daughter and I have had quite the adventure, and lots of laughs. It's nice to make memories like this with her while she still thinks I am cool. We've got cable TV in the hotel (a luxury we don't have at home) so she is cuddling with her teddy bears and watching C.S.I. - on the cusp of womanhood. I love her to bits.

It sounds like everyone is doing well - I'm glad you hit another meeting and did some Step review with your sponsor, Stoney.

Least, I'm glad your beagle is going to be okay - you're such a good mommy - and your vet sounds awesome.

Hi Sis! Love ya lots!

Hugs to Donna, scoob - and anybody else I missed! Love you guys and missed you today

Ro thanks for making me smile. I'm so glad you have had a nice day with your daughter. Those memories are really special. Hope it doesn't rain for you tomorrow. Have a good night. My daughter still cuddles w/teddys and she's 20.

first -

I *did* know that about the fourth step.

BUt I didn't know abou tthe design to be done again later.

I wondered about that when I did my own foruth step. I knoew when I finished the sixth... that I was going to have to fourfth again.... because new stuff was going to happen.
Some people so on about the tenth step coveriing 'everything' ... but i've remembered things and only a charting out process like that settled it in *my* mind.

Im in one of those 'who cares - just done drink' moods...LOL

Yeah, it looks like we are following each other.

Just catching up with stoneys thread. I didn't get a chance to come on earlier.

Stoney- So proud of you going over step 1 with your sponser. Keep up the good work.

It looks like I'll being doing a 9th step in 2 weeks when my parents come for a visit. It'll be my only opportunity to do it face to face. I'm more nervous about step 9 then I was about doing a 4th and 5th. I'm just weird I guess. LOL

no ,
it took 4 hours to do ALL of the steps.
But they were dealing with a totally different group of drunks. Apparently it was mostly low bottom alkies they were trying to help. Its a different make up these days. Im really not sure if it was really intended or not to redo the steps over after a period of time. Similar to how most of the people I know do 4th and 5th steps.
What the hell do I know ? Im an idiot.
Im also quoting a friend of mine. (Disclaimer)
