I swear by this recipe. I make it whenever I feel a head-cold coming on, and I almost always start to feel better right afterwards. Hope this helps someone else, as well.

Hi Believe, I got my rest but am still fairly ill and depressed. The Docs appt on the 11th is to try to get some help with the depression, even though the mood swings aren't so bad now, the depression is very bad. I am struggling more than I let on.

Hold on tight, (((Paul))). Thanks for coming clean about the depression, and how bad it really is. You know I have been there - I understand. I'll say a prayer for you this morning.

Hi Ess, weather is crap here, I am dragging myself out anyway. The Doctors office has moved, I am gonna scout out where too.

Hi Ro, thanks. As you know, depression isn't just feeling bleak and having zero motivation (though those are bad enough), it is emotional pain too. It is a huge factor in my drinking and always has been. I need to get some help, I am asking to see a psychiatrist on Monday. I won't drink today but I am hanging on by my fingernails here.

Great to hear you talking honestly about your feelings., Remember back in "serious one" I told you its about why we drink in the first place.
Alcoholism is all about denial of personal responsibility.......one way or another we must start taking responsibility for our own lives and start owing our own behavior. That was difficult for me at the start because I was full of blame, and I struggled to understand that it was ok to feel the hurts and talk and work through them but at some stage we must own how I lived today!!

That's what it was like for me, the drinking only a symptom. I was left with all the reasons I drank in the first place. That's where you are now and its so important to deal with that otherwise we return to our old ways...........which do not work!!

Sorry your feeling so low but Im glad you are honest about it because we have to feel our feelings to come through them.

your journal is turning out to be a very handy tool for me too Stone. I cannot rest on my laurels either but must remember to live my life ....

Have a great day, try and focus on the positive even if you don't wanna!!

Its all about changing.........
